Oakdene is brilliant, book it!

We booked Oakdene last minute and it was exceptional. Chris is a wonderful host. The property is clean, finished to a high standard, well equipped and cosy. The decor has retained the original features but with a modern twist. Just book it, really!

fabulous Oakdene House

we were a group of 50 somethings celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. Oakdene House is spectacular (I wanted to pick it up and take it home) the interior is gorgeous and there is everything and more you would ever want in a house. The kitchen is fully equipped for 20+ people and cooking for large numbers was not a problem, the two dishwashers ,4 bins were a godsend. the Location is great and the village of Sedbergh is only a short walk away and friends ate in local pubs at lunch and said they were excellent. A crowd of us cycled and the roads were not too busy, they were very hilly and some went walking, which was right on your doorstep. We would recommend this house whole heartedly. Really excellent - well thought through, comfortable and well equipped

Extremely well thought through property: very comfortable, very conveniently laid out and very well stocked with, for example, kitchen equipment (which is so often poor in these types of properties). Caters to a wide range of preferences from older adults to young children (our party contained a full range). The host was very hospitable and helpful and genuinely keen that our (rather large) party had an enjoyable and relaxing stay, and succeeded in achieving this. Highly recommended and we will be staying again.
