House is spacious, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you’ll need & more. Heat on a chilly morning was easy to regulate. Research on the family history (father served a long term as one of Harvard’s most significant presidents) enriched our stay. Beautiful neighborhood with some steep, narrow roads. The space worked well for me, my daughter and our dog, and we were close to many Acadia hikes throughout Mount Desert Island. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it was the best home base. The kitchen had everything we needed. The open floor plan was spacious with a large dining table and plenty of couch seating. We were 15 minutes from Bar Harbor and 5 minutes from entrance to Acadia. The backyard is a quiet little oasis. The House is a little older, but no issues. It was clean and well kept.
