We fell in love with Sea Ranch years ago, and now are so excited to own a home here! Our home is personalized as we spend a lot of time here, and we have enjoyed sharing it with guests. Sea Ranch encompasses 3500 acres of the North Sonoma Coast with homes built to blend in with the seascape environment. We first fell in love with this home from photos but in real-life its even more amazing! Our home is contemporary, open floor plan with high ceilings and interesting angles, lots of light from all sides. Our views of the ocean with white water waves crashing on rocks and its sea life are mesmerizing. Its a short walk to the bluff trail and a beach just below- where there are amazing low tide sea stars (aka starfish) everywhere! We often see whales out our front windows. The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and cabinets galore is very well equipped as we love to cook. The living room is spacious, with excellent ocean views, and access to a private deck also with ocean views. Four steps down is the dining area in a lovely open nook, which opens to a small deck with ocean views. An open loft overlooking the living room has a desk and bistro table, also with excellent white-water views. The master bedroom with king bed is spacious, and opens into a large master bath, with Jacuzzi tub, modern concrete shower, two sinks, and a large walk-through closet. The guest bedroom with queen bed is located down a few steps from the front entryway, and has a bathroom also with a modern concrete shower. The 3rd sleeping area also with a queen bed is located off the loft. The loft also has a sauna . The laundry area is off the kitchen, with large capacity washer. and dryer. This home is very welcoming and comfortable with a wonderful layout and beautiful view of the ocean. All the beds are amazingly comfortable with plush bedding. There are two grocery stores 5 minutes away that have everything you need, and the home has a well stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. It’s very close to the bluff trail for a long daily or evening walk to enjoy all the Beauty of Sea Ranch. Enjoyed sitting on the outside deck while deer had no problem walking right in front of us while we enjoyed the beautiful view of the ocean. Evenings can be enjoyed with their wonderful fireplace and movie streaming on their relaxing furniture. There truly isn’t enough wonderful things to say about this beautiful home, other than we will definitely want to return and anyone considering staying here will not be disappointed. We usually bring our own stuff like knives but it wasn't necessary. The master suite is awesome but the one across is small and the one upstairs has no real door. Since there were 3 couples, deciding who gets which rooms was tricky. The work desk facing the ocean is spectacular. While it feels homey to have a lot of the owners' stuff in the house, it also led to lack of space to store things in the fridge & kitchen cabinets, garage. Also, note that the hot tub is a jacuzzi inside master bath so we only used it once as we didn't want to waste water. Owner (Deborah) is super responsive and helpful - we really enjoyed our stay. ##### Robin H. There's an amazing, pretty private beach just below if you're willing to wade through the estuary, which our family including kids and older adults all loved. There's also a beautiful nature trail in the other direction. Of course the bluff trail in both directions with Gualala Point close by. It's so nice being a few minutes from the grocery store as well. We appreciated the bottle of wine left for us! Kitchen could have used a few more amenities like tongs (unless we couldn't find them) and basic pantry items like olive oil, honey, soy sauce, baking soda, etc. Things you just need a spoonful of... if we had known, we would have brought more things from home. Fireplace was very cozy and lovely. Kids had a little trouble sleeping since the 3rd bedroom loft opens to the living room. Would be ideal if it had a door! It is technically beach front as there's no other structure in front of the home, BUT part of the neighbor's house to the right is partially obstructing the ocean view and hard to ignore as it is right there. In addition, the home is situated far back from the ocean that it's hard to hear the waves. The home is clean but it does have a lot of owner's personal items. When we checked it, we got the impression that we got in the wrong house as it felt like we were invading their space. It took awhile to get use to it. Deborah and Mel’s home was lovely. Just as in the pictures. The location was one of a kind - so many beaches (many times we were the only ones on them!), starfish, sand dollars, hermit crabs, seals, dolphins and amazing sunsets.
