Beautiful building and grounds with very friendly staff (especially Sam & Mel) however Internet service is like something from the 90s. Three days of extreme frustration with service constantly dropping when trying to work. Complained numerous times but nothing improved.
Excellent breakfast however lunch and dinner options extremely limited. Only 3 main course choices from Bar menu that closed at 5pm and only 3 choices from Dining menu also and they were same each day. No food available after 8.30pm, even for resident's.
Fabulous, historic hotel in beautiful gardens & excellent condition with welcoming & efficient staff.

Expensive for plumbing issues
A cute little castle hotel tucked away in the highlands; however they really need to work on their plumbing. Toilets wouldn’t flush in room or lobby bathroom. Tub water pressure was so low it took 30+ minutes to fill. When we spoke to their maintenance person, the reasoning was because of too much use in the hotel at the same time. Doesn’t feel like they’re equipped to be full? Not a lot of property / grounds to walk around on. Expensive for having plumbing issues.
The property is very nice. It is maintained well, except for a few carpet tears here and there. Plenty of parking and the location with the view of the valley is exceptional. The staff is very kind and accommodating. My only is issue is there is no lift (elevator) to having to carry heavy luggage up 3 flights of stairs was not fun. Aside from this, I would recommend it.
Really enjoyed our stay. Lounge area was amazing with a variety of seating in different arrangements. Bar snug was really comfortable. Loved the chairs that twirled. Our room was spacious. It was accessible and partner was delighted with the shower which was so easy to access. Room would benefit from some updating and I believe that’s on the cards, it was however, very comfortable. Outdoor area looked really nice. Lots of outdoor seating, and the pods looked great for eating in the evening. Staff were all super friendly and helpful.
This is a lovely charming property in a beautiful setting. The ambiance, large well-furnished room and views were much appreciated. We highly recommend.
We recognised that the hotels in the highlands on the NC500 route weren’t that good but the Kincraig hotel didn’t even meet our low expectations. The general conditions were poor, the rooms were not maintained - even the bed wasn’t made during our 2 night stay.
The food was ok but we certainly won’t be returning.
We arrived before checkin time, but the staff welcomed us to wait in the lounge and we ordered lunch and drinks. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. The staff was lovely, and we ate dinner and breakfast there. The dinner was delicious, but a bit overpriced. The breakfast had lots of options and we greatly enjoyed it. Would stay here again anytime.
Friendly and warm welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing to us. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and was totally chilled. Will be going again soon.
Amazing location, food, staff and large open fire, well worth the journey.
The staff were so helpful and engaging, we bought a few of the locally made jewellery that was on display.
Large rooms with super comfortable bed, large bathrooms.
The lounge by the fire having a drink after a cold day out sightseeing was welcomed.
Stayed two nights while visiting my daughter who lives nearby. Have stayed once before so knew the quality we were returning to. Staff were all exceptionally friendly and the hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Only downside was not getting to spend enough time enjoying the hotel.
Room was crazy hot when I entered. No way to turn it down so had to open windows (no screens). No place to put luggage. Shower was odd - it didn’t move so you had to stand against the wall. Water pressure was low, which made for a long, un refreshing experience.
