Hôtel séjour 1 nuit

Posted 15-Apr-2016

Great choice for a stop over

Posted 09-Apr-2016
Great location for the city centre, not too close but also allowing easy access to the other local sites and points of interest... The pool and steam room were ideal, was just a little more expensive than I expected, especially as I didn't have breakfast, however that said it's the same story with their competitors... If I was headed that direction again I'd certainly check their availability.

Pros: Room was ok but that's about it.
Cons: Food was poor. Reception service wasn't great.
With work so only there for one night. Arrived and was met by a flustered reception team who seemed to be struggling to get people sorted. Room was nice enough, clean and tidy but that's the minimum one should expect nowadays. Ate at the hotel which was a mistake. On arrival a Domino's pizza delivery man arrived with a delivery for another guest and I wish I had done the same. Chose jerk chicken off the menu which was bland and a small portion. Bar area was large and impersonal. Reminded me of a holiday camp. No personality. On check out a large queue had formed as the reception were struggling to process people. Not necessarily their fault but didn't portray the hotel in a good light. There were signs up saying improvements were being made to the hotel and there was a distinct whiff of wet paint in the air which didn't bother me but I can imagine some people would have been put off by this.
