A quiet peaceful place and hardly heard others coming and going. A lovely little B&B, a little dated but very clean and comfortable. Check in was a breeze and its very close to loch ness and Urquhart castle. It was a bit difficult without a car as there are no taxis and buses don’t come by often, but it is only about a 20 minute walk into the village, so that was only difficult when leaving with heavy luggage. The area is beautiful and the accommodation was ideal for rest and relaxation. Tucked away from the main Hub of Loch Ness it was nice and quiet, clean and comfortable but was in easy walking distance of all the activities, bars and restaurants. A very informative welcome pack in the room gave us opening times and menus which was really useful. We had a twin room with private bathroom and there was also a lounge are with dining table, fridge and microwave which I think might have been available for guests to use but we didn't as we weren't absolutely sure, maybe host could add some info on this to the welcome pack. Loch Ness is not visible from the property itself, but is very conveniently close by. We felt welcomed, and enjoyed the home-like atmosphere. The room and bathroom were very well-planned and full of thoughtful little additions, such as the makeup light over the sink, the cups and saucers and kettle, the perforated hanging basket in the shower for soaps and supplies to be close at hand whilst showering, etc. The one aspect that was not ideal for the two of us was the bed…it felt rather hard, to us. We realize, however, that a firmer bed may suit many of you. The back garden was well-cared-for and pleasant to look out at. Also, there was a room set aside for guests to prepare and eat foods they have brought along or ordered in….there is a microwave, and there are all kinds of useful items there for that purpose. What a great idea. I’m glad we selected this lovely place to stay.
