Sun, sea, beach ... The island of Schouwen-Duiveland offers all this! This holiday home is your ideal base. Scharendijke is located directly on the beautiful North Sea beach and the largest and cleanest saltwater lake in Europe, the Grevelingenmeer. This unique location makes Scharendijke the ideal vacation spot for windsurfers, divers, sailors, fishermen or for a nice lazy holiday on the North Sea beach. With its own harbor, a cozy village center with cafes, restaurants and shops and a large supermarket, all ingredients are present for an unforgettable holiday! Our holiday home is beautifully situated at the foot of the Brouwersdam. Dunes, Strand, Grevenlingenmeer or the charming village of Scharendijke can be reached on foot and / or by bike within a few minutes. The house was renovated in 2010 and a large extension was realized in 2015/2016\. It offers space for 4-6 people. Pets are allowed. 105 m2 floor area, luxury kitchen, bathroom (walk-in shower, WC, washbasin), second toilet, and attractive room and spacious bedroom with double bed on the ground floor with adjoining shower / bathroom. The two upstairs bedrooms each have two separate single beds and in one room also 1 double bed. Possibility of a cot and high chair is available. In addition to the third bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor in the extension, is a walk-in shower with sink. There is also a second toilet in the extension. For the real holiday feeling, the house is equipped with every comfort, as you are used to at home: \- a private, sunny and spacious garden, including a terrace fireplace, a sturdy garden table for 10 people and garden furniture; \- a lot of privacy both in the home and in the garden; \- fully equipped open kitchen with a. a. dishwasher, oven, and microwave; \- spacious crockery and cooking aids; \- washing machine and dryer and extra fridge with freezer; \- bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet; \- 2nd bathroom \- 2nd toilet; \- TV and DVD with extensive channel package in every room, a Sonos in the living room; \- free internet / WIFI; \- bicycles and (children's) toys; \- bed linen and kitchen linen included \- play / sleeping loft for the children accessible via the loft ladder in the extension (enter at your own risk, owner accepts no liability) Unfortunately, groups of young people are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted in our holiday home. Deposit: € 150, which you will receive within a week if the house inventory has been returned to the owner completely and undamaged. Tourist tax included. Payment of the rental price expires before the 1st payment via Homeaway, the 2nd payment directly with the owner. The area of the island offers many possibilities. A small selection: Beach tents A 'tent' is not the appropriate name. They are very luxurious restaurants where everyone, including your pet, is welcome. Winter and summer. Lovely after a long walk on the beach. Every beach tent along both the North Sea beach and the Grevelingenmeer ('Werelds', De Punt) offers you a separate experience; for young and old. In all cases a delicious meal is served here for everyone. Lovely to fall down on the pillows after a long walk. Kite surfing Get a breath of fresh air on the beach and still be sporty? Near Strandbeleving (our holiday home) you can (learn to) kite surfing, but also try one of the other beach sports such as kite-buggies or Blokarten. The location is unique and experienced teachers show the tricks of the trade. www. natural-high. NL Delta park Neeltje Jans Delta Park Neeltje Jans shows everything about the Delta Works. Exhibitions, marine animals, water attractions and more. Learn from the flood disaster of 1953 and get a tour of the flood barrier. Fun and educational for young and old. www. neeltjejans. NL Visit beautiful towns and villages Going out, shopping, having a drink on a terrace or relaxing on the beach. It's all possible in different towns and villages in the immediate area. Zierikzee, Renesse, Brouwershaven (birthplace of father Cats), Ouddorp and Goedereede are all within 20 km of Strandbeleving. Visit Zierikzee Zierikzee is the Pearl on the Oosterschelde. This 8th monument city in the Netherlands is certainly worth a visit. Visit the silhouette with walls, gates, churches, tower and windmills from the 15th century or relax with a coffee on one of the many terraces. For a city walk, contact vvv Zeeland. Flood Museum Ouwerkerk In this museum you will be introduced in a penetrating way to the flood disaster that occurred in the night from Saturday 31 January to Sunday 1 February 1953 and the following days. It was two days after full moon. The flood that had to come at 5.00 am was therefore a spring flood. The storm rages with a wind force 11 to 12 above the North Sea from the north-northwest. Along the coast, wind gusts of 135 kilometers per hour occurred. Even before the flood, things went wrong in many places. Around 2.00 the water came over the dikes and the flood boards for the first time. The dikes started to break from 3 a.m. The museum is located in the 4 caissons that were used during the disaster to close the holes in the dyke and to stop the water. The island of Schouwen Duiveland and the neighboring island of Walcheren with Middelburg, Goes and Vlissingen have much more to offer. In the house there is a book with walking and cycling trips. Über einen tollen Damm-Spaziergang kommt man in wenigen Minuten an den wunderschönen kilometerlangen Sandstrand. Das Haus liegt perfekt 👌 Abends konnten die Kinder noch gemütlich im Garten spielen und die Erwachsenen bei einem Glas Wein den Abend ausklingen lassen. Die Küche ist für den Aufenthalt gut ausgestattet, dass man für 8 Personen wie Zuhause kochen kann. Die Metallbetten könnte man vielleicht mal austauschen, aber alles andere war wirklich toll. Wir hatten bei der Ankunft eine tolle Einführung durch Willem. Der Kontakt hat reibungslos funktioniert. Wir waren wirklich mit allem sehr zufrieden. Als kleine Empfehlung, können wir in Scharendijke, dass Restaurant Surf Inn wirklich nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank Willem, dass wir das Haus nutzen durften. Viele Grüße ##### Anja-Marie J. Das Haus steht in einem Ferienhaus-Wohngebiet mit Gärten und schönem Baumbestand ringsum. Der Garten mit Terrasse ist durch die Hecken ringsum nicht einsehbar. Wir haben den Garten sehr genossen, häufig am großen Gartentisch gesessen. Kaum Autoverkehr, nur Anwohner. Der Wohn/Essbereich war gemütlich eingerichtet, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gab leider nur den Esstisch im Wohnzimmerbereich, um lesen oder schreiben zu können. Ein kleiner Tisch im Obergeschoss wäre schön gewesen, um sich dorthin zurückziehen zu können. Dafür in jedem Zimmer Fernseher! Im Obergeschoss gab es wenig Stauraum, dieser war zudem teilweise belegt. Wir hatten eine längere Regenperiode mit viel Wind und Gewittern. Es war währenddessen schwierig die Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss zu lüften. Auch wenn das Fenster auf der Wetterseite nur einen Spalt geöffnet war, kam Wasser herein, da man die Fenster nicht kippen konnte. Gleichzeitig war es warm unter dem Dach. Für unseren 14tägigen Aufenhalt hat uns das Haus insgesamt gut gefallen. ##### Johanna H. Kein 08/15-Ferienhaus, sondern durch den Vermieter selbst erweitert, ausgestattet und mit der Familie auch bewohnt. Auch im Herbst gut geeignet, da im Haus ausreichend Platz ist. Sehr schöner Garten. Supermarkt in direkte Nähe. Ca. 1000 Meter bis zum Renesse-Nordsehstrand. Die Strandrestarantes haben auch alle noch auf und guten Zulauf. Wir kommen gerne wieder. ##### Jörg S. Allerdings auch sehr hellhörig. Der Strand um mit den Hunden frei zu laufen ist in etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Insgesamt sehr schöner Aufrnthalt ##### Björn d. Das Haus ist groß, schön, sauber, gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet (v. a. die Küche). Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es lässt keine Wünsche offen. Selbst Fahhräder sind vorhanden und der Garten ist eingezäunt, sodass wir auch mal die Hunde frei laufen lassen konnten. Die freundliche Begrüßung mit frischen Blumen und einer Flasche Rotwein war eine sehr nette Gäste vom freundlichen Ferienhausbesitzer. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten eine schöne Zeit miteinander. ##### Hubert H. Wir haben uns in dem Ferienhaus mit 5 Erwachsenen, 3 Kindern und 2 Hunden sehr wohl gefühlt. Bei Ankunft war alles sauber und ordentlich. Man erreicht in kurzer Zeit nächstgelegene Orte, wo man einkaufen und bummeln gehen kann. Der Strand bzw. das Meer liegt quasi vor der Türe. Mit den Hunden sind ausgiebige Spaziergänge super möglich. Die Kinder konnten Fahrräder fahren, die zur Verfügung standen oder haben im schönen Garten gespielt. Es war ein erholsamer Urlaub für alle! ##### Nancy M.
