Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours."

"We are driving around southern italy just using expedia day by day. We happend upon this little gem. We booked aprox 1hr before showing up. The manager greeted us. He takes great pride in his work. The entire staff was top shelf. If you are near Emelfi this place is a must stay!! At the pool the manager checked in with us. At aperif time on the patio he came by, at dinner inside he came to check on us 2 times and at breakfast he was sweeping floors with the staff. We were very impressed!!! Gorgeous grounds, super clean rooms and our terrace over looked the back pool area."

"I hosted my retreat at Villa Sarkeep with six women, and it was the perfect setting. The villa was exactly as pictured—spacious, spotless, and full of authentic Italian countryside charm. The bedrooms were large, and the home offered plenty of space for everyone to relax. The outdoor area and views were breathtaking. I loved using the outdoor kitchen to grill fresh fish from the fish monger truck we saw in town. There are small local markets, veg, and a butcher. within walking distance of the house, , and coffee bar made it easy for my guests to experience the beauty of everyday life in an Italian village. I would definitely host another retreat here!"
