At the end of the day, return to one of our six luxury safari tents, complete with proper beds, firepit and hot showers. If you’re travelling in a group, you could even book several tents and enjoy a break with your nearest and dearest. Each of our glamping tents accommodates up to six and has three bedrooms that each sleep two. There is one king size room, one twin room and one bunk bed room per tent. If necessary you could also fit a travel cot in any of the bedrooms (these can be hired if required). There is an abundance of on site activities that can be booked in advance such as Nature Meditation, Forest Bathing, Beachcombing, Astronomy Sessions and a Horse and Cart Ride. Please see the details in the additional information. It really is the ideal setting for luxury glamping as a couple or with the whole family. The coastal estuaries alone offer much to make even the least interested of you ‘twitch' just a little. The Blyth estuary enters the sea at Southwold. As well as being home to Adnams ales, its marshland is home to a veritable A to W of wildfowl from Avocet to Wigeon via Dunlin and Knot. To the south, inland Woodbridge is a centre for sailing and other water borne excursions on the tidal River Deben, that spills gently into the sea above Felixstowe. Between them, the Alde opens up at Snape, whose Maltings deserve a definite tick for visitors young and old. The estuary meanders through marshland and reed banks towards Aldeburgh, one of the most picturesque small fishing towns set between reed and wave. Enjoy the best fish 'n' chips ever along the Suffolk Coast, washed down with the finest of ales and discuss between you the poignancy of Maggi Hambling's 'Scallop', or perhaps just skim stones on the North Sea. All within easy reach of our Sweffling glamping site. 30 minutes from our Sweffling site at Lantern and Larks, the traditional seaside town of Southwold is just the place for a day on the beach. With its sandy beach and famous pier, we can think of no better spot for enjoying an ice cream or a game in the arcade! You can also browse the many shops, tour the lighthouse and pop into the Adnams Brewery – don’t forget to pick up a bottle of something to enjoy round the firepit upon your return to your luxury safari tent. For larger groups, check out the other tents; Kestrel, Linnet, Skylark, Swallow and Swift. Inside: Living area Comfortable sitting area with corner sofa, coffee table and large wood burning stove (unlimited wood included). Views out over the porch and across the site. Candles and lanterns supplied throughout to light the tent. Kitchen/dining area Wooden table with seating for six. Well-equipped kitchen with sink, double gas hob, cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. Cool box for storing food, with free ice packs available from site shop. Shower room Separate WC and shower room. All fully plumbed with hot and cold running water. Towels provided. Bedroom one Wooden king-size bed (bedding supplied) with two bedside tables, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Bedroom two Twin wooden single beds (bedding supplied) and storage. Bedroom three Wooden bunk beds (bedding supplied) and storage. Outside: Front terrace with outdoor seating and coffee table. Firepit in front of tent. Parking: Parking is only available in the designated parking area. Vehicles can not be driven to the tents. Barrows are provided to take your luggage from your car to the tent. Please be aware that the path might be uneven at times. Additional Information: A security deposit of £500.00 will be held when booking the full site and refunded within 7 days of departure. All adult bookings must be discussed and agreed before booking confirmation. Travel cots available on request for an additional charge of £15\. Standard travel cot mattress provided, linen not provided. High chairs available on request free of charge. Up to four well behaved dogs welcome per tent for an additional charge of £20 per dog. This is a off-grid experience with no electricity on site. The Sweffling site is a favourite as the location is so close to the coast and the lovely towns of Southwold & Aldeburgh. Nothing is too much trouble for Andrew who lives on the farm onsite and is always available. We travel as a large family group (plus dog) and book 3 properties on the site, the kids are free to roam and the tents are well equipped for everything you need. There's a decent shower and separate loo, a lovely woodburner for the chilly evenings - with a plentiful supply of logs you can get from the log store (included). There's a gas hob for cooking/making a cup of tea, but also an open fire outside that you can BBQ on (bring your own charcoal, or can purchase in the shop). The beds are comfy & cosy too. The honesty shop is well equipped, you can plug your charging banks in to recharge, but they also provide rechargeable lanterns, plus frozen 'hot' water bottles which you can use to chill the cool boxes (x2) that are provided in the tents. We're already enquiring about booking the same week again next year!
