The owners were absolutely delightful. My girlfriend and I went to town to get a bottle of wine, only to find that it was a religious holiday and weren't able to get a bottle. On our way back to our room, we came upon the owner and mentioned it casually. He said he would bring us a bottle which was especially nice of him, but that he also brought two glass wineglasses and a bucket with ice. First class. We stayed in the VIP room which was nice and spacious, bright and cheery. We loved the outdoor shower. We will be staying there again, my next trip back to Udon Thani. Note to Future Guests: Show other paying guests the respect they deserve, and park your vehicle in the Car Park(there's a few signs), and not at the entrance to other peoples rooms. It was the only complaint I had staying there. (10 nights). Resort and lodges are set in beautiful grounds. Town of Sawang daen din 10 min tuk tuk ride away. Free WiFi which worked well for me on both occasions. Lodge facilities we're all adequate and worked. You have a refrigerator, TV and satellite (no English speaking channels) kettle etc. Free water. All have a nice veranda. Nice restaurant (Thai food) serves really nice food and by Western standards good value. I used the Resort as a base to visit friends.
