Located directly across from Warren Square on the first floor of a historic, two-story Victorian home, Harper House can comfortably accommodate up to six Lucky guests for a true “live like a local” Savannah experience. The understated elegance of the living area comes from the high ceilings, original, decorative hearth and tasteful furnishings. A wall-mounted, flat-screen TV and queen sleeper-sofa modernize the living space. Original pocket doors, a classic feature in Victorian homes, separates the living area from the Premium bedroom. The original hardwood floors extend into the Premium bedroom, where you’ll find another decorative hearth, mirrored armoire and a carved wooden headboard above the king-size bed. Spacious, warm and bright, the completely renovated, eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare meals at home. The process is easy to use. Lockbox and codes work properly. Except the front door lockbox, to exit needs opened. The king mattress and sofa mattress are uncomfortable. The queen bed was very comfortable. Furnishings were classic but the couch and rugs had a lot of wear. Primary bed mattress needs to be replaced...not very comfortable. If you have older members in your party there are a few wooden steps to enter the unit after you go through the fence door that may be difficult to navigate. Reviewer Comments: Location was great. The thermostat would revert to 76 degrees every so often. We woke up hot a lot. There were weed plants with burrs in the parking lot and grass. They would get stuck on our shoes and were all over the house floor. They were even in places we hadn't walked with our shoes on; not cleaned from the last guests. Perfect location. So close to where we watch the parade. Always clean and well stocked. We only had one item. There was a bag of something, maybe clothes, left on the ground in the courtyard. Love a traditional experience for lodging especially in a city like Savannah and the location was too perfect - especially too close to Leopold's Ice Cream!A suggestion - can you add to the one or both bathrooms bars on the wall for getting into and out of the tub.
