Smaller than pictures make it feel, but cute and convenient
The apartment was nicely decorated and clean. The driveway to the two upper parking spaces was a little scary at first--steep, and hard to see if there are any cars parked there before you commit, and can't see over the edge when you're headed back down. But I got used to it after a couple times. The place was quiet, and the patio near the upper pool is a nice place to sit to watch the water. A convenient and quick drive to the beach/lake. The internet shut off in the morning on the TV, etc around 7:30 am. Not sure why. Otherwise no complaints. A very nice stay. Also, the ground coffee provided in the room was very good!

Saugatuck getaway with tulip festival in Holland
Overall, the accommodations were very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of room for two except the shower/toilet was very small. The parking was challenging with a very steep driveway and limited spaces making it difficult to maneuver. Will not be back or recommend to my older friends due to dealing with all the steps and carrying luggage. Across the river from downtown Saugatuck.

Loved the rooftop pool and deck area overlooking the River! The room was clean and ample. The only thing I would request is a better/newer matress (mattress was sunken in from use).

Loved Holiday Hill!
Took my granddaughters here (ages 16 and 18) for a weekend together before the oldest goes off to college in a few months. We had a great time and were very pleased with the accommodations. Very clean, attractively decorated and the staff was pleasant. There were lots of unique shops and restaurants a short drive (or a chain ferry ride) away. We climbed Mt. Baldhead (and I didn't die — bonus!) and also visited Saugantuck Dunes State Park. The girls and I highly recommend Holiday Hill.

We love Holiday Hill!
This was our second time staying here and we will most certainly be back! It’s the perfect spot to be close to downtown and also hop right over to Oval Beach for sunset. They are very kind and the place is lovely - definitely recommend!

Hidden Gem

Perfect stay!
We loved our one night stay! We appreciated that someone was there to greet us personally even though we arrived after dark. She showed us to our room and made sure that we had everything we needed. The apartment was perfectly clean and newly remodeled and we very much enjoyed our stay! We were just passing through this time but the next time we come to the area, we would love to stay here for a little longer amount of time.

Wonderful Stay

Holiday Hill
This cozy apartment was just what we needed for our vacation. It was the most perfect location with the best views in town. Our children loved the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had the pool to ourselves. LOVED the patio area and the design of the pool space. Who’d have thought that slightly turning the 2x4s would have such a beautiful effect! The room was clean and exactly like the photos and the bed was super comfy!!

Really enjoyed our stay. The unit was bright and clean. Especially comfortable bed in the bedroom. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my coffee on the deck overlooking the Kalamazoo river and the kids enjoyed the pool.

Check in and check out were a snap. The location of the room granted access to limited special parking and a dedicated pool (shared with a small number of other rooms). Our room was clean, carpet has seen better days. Close to the chain ferry and access to Oval Beach. Would stay here again.

Clean and close to beach and downtown
Cute place. So close to beach. I love the overlook of the water near the pool. They did a great job giving us towels, and were happy with the place. The only down side was a lot of stairs to get to room, but was worth it. They do have a luggage thing in other side so be sure to ask how to get that to work because we kept carrying stuff. We had the pool to ourselves and no issue.

Hi there! So glad you were able to enjoy and hope you come back to visit us again soon! I will make sure that the front desk staff is more clear about use of the driveway to drop off Luggage that may be heavier because from there its only about 6 stairs up.

So close to the beach!
Nice little place only 0.5 miles from the beach. We chose not to walk to the beach because you have to traverse a somewhat busy road, but it was still nice to zip over quickly in the car.

Great location to explore Saugatuck from
Stayed a couple nights with my teen daughter. We enjoyed the pool and the room. Oval beach is such a close easy drive we would definitely stay here again. Downtown is less than a 10 minute drive, or can take the chain ferry if it’s running. We did the Mount Baldwin steps and walked the path to the beach, fun to do once, then take the short drive. We saw several deer along this walk. Owner was easy and accommodating.

Best getaway!
My friend and I had the best time at Holiday Hill. The unit was very clean and all of the staff were careful to wear masks, sanitize and social distance. The location had a great view of Saugatuck and the river and was close to a wonderful walking trail with beautiful views that led to the beach. Nick was so helpful and kind. He is working hard to make Holiday Hill safe during this pandemic yet beautiful and fun for all! We will definitely return!

Scenic and Peaceful
I had an amazing time staying at this property! The owner was very helpful and quick to respond, and it is in excellent proximity to Oval Beach. There are many great transportation options such as the chain ferry and the interurban bus, however be sure to check the hours that they are running for so that you don't get stuck on the opposite side of the river downtown without a ride back. Would definitely stay here again!

So glad you enjoyed your stay Alexis! I will be sure to put the local taxi numbers in our rooms for anyone staying in town later than the ferry operates (usually 8pm.) Taxi trip back normally around 7-8 bucks. We hope you can come stay with us again!!!

Short Stay. Great tIme
The unit was very clean and the furniture and bed are comfortable. Everything is as the picture shows. The location is nice for Oval Beach access and crossing with the chain ferry. The drive to the unit is very steep as is noted but there are some stairs.

Wonderful late summer weekend
The property was perfect for us and our two tween girls. The pool kept us busy and town was just across the river via the chain ferry or water taxi. The room was very clean and updated, and the staff was fantastic! I would love to return next year!

Great rental!
Such a nice little spot with a beautiful view! Great to have a pool and the beach close by. The unit is small but cozy. You can hear people walking around in the unit above, but the building is older so it’s not really surprising. Would definitely return!

Impromptu mini-vacation in Saugatuck MI
Location, location, location! This property is in an excellent location, adjacent to Mount Baldy, Oval Beach, and on the Kalamazoo River near the chain ferry! It also has a great pool. The washer/dryer is not in the unit but nearby. Customer service was great! I would stay there again!

Saugatuck Sensational Setting
This lovely one bedroom is top notch! It was super clean and well appointed with a full kitchen (full sized fridge, everything you need if you want to have breakfast, or any meal, in.) . But you won't need to, because downtown Saugatuck is just down a short hill and across the narrow channel of the Kalamazoo river. NOTE: There is a chain ferry within yards of the property, it only costs 2 dollars, but it closes around 8:30 so you will need to take a water taxi or regular taxi back after that time. It's not a quick walk around the lake on foot. Great view, warm pool, easy check-in.

Very clean! Perfect location for Oval Beach!
We liked our stay here at #702 Holiday Hill! We thought it was clean and efficient. The storage in the kitchen was nice and it was great to have a clean, full size refrigerator. Our family of four stayed here (2 adults, 2 kids) and when the sofa bed was being used, it was a little cramped, but it worked. The king size bed and pillows were comfortable. It was nice having access to pool towels. The top pool/pool restrooms could use some renovating, but it looks like constant effort is being made to keep the property clean and maintained. The location was awesome- so close to Oval Beach! We took the chain ferry over one evening, but it was $16 round trip for all four of us, so it was easier and cheaper to drive over to the shops and restaurants to try to find a parking spot, or even pay $5 at the parking lot. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Holiday Hill!

Awesome little place, looks just like the photos, and extremely clean!!! The location and proximity to the beach was amazing. We could hear the folks in the unit above us in the mornings, but a sound machine could help with that. Otherwise it was exactly what we were looking for!

Simply wonderful . . .
Such a quaint, wonderful apartment very close to everything there is to do there. One of the many great things were windows that opened to enjoy the fresh air. We were there just before the very hot weather, so took full advantage. The reviews about the noise upstairs . . . yes, you can hear people up there but was no big deal. Just a family walking around. As long as you don't have a bunch of party people there, you will have no problem. You're on the upper floor and there are only 3 parking spots up there, one being what it seems is a permanent resident. Parking below really isn't an issue. There are steps if you don't want to walk the steep incline drive. We used it as part of our exercise routine. Speaking of which, this is right next door to Mt. Baldy. Take the challenge and walk up. Plenty of benches along the way to rest if you need to. Only problem we had, which had nothing to do with the place, was the ferry running across to downtown being down the entire time. They said it was "too windy". We maybe had gusts up to 10 miles an hour. So not buying that. There were boats much smaller than the ferry up and down the river the entire time. Cary and Nick, who are the owners I believe, were simply a joy to deal with. We plan on coming back and highly recommend others do the same.

My dad Cary (his son) and I now handle things with the rest of our family. It's a community effort within our entire family and really appreciate it when people enjoy it as much as we do! Sorry with the ferry being closed for wind. For future stays you can always call the Interurban shuttle. They will pick up and drop off anywhere within the city limits for 1 dollar per person. We hope you visit us again soon!

This was the perfect place to stay. Within walking distance of Mt. Baldy and Oval Beach and a ferry ride away from downtown. The condo was clean, brightly decorated, with exceptional service. The parking situation is a little tricky. Most days we had to walk up the stairs to our place, but it’s a small price to pay for such a great location and view.
