"The reception staff here was outstanding. I feel bad I lost the note with their names because they truly were exceptional. All four ladies that staffed the front desk in morning and evening were people who see hospitality as a calling not a job. They were kind, patient, gave us good directions, listened to our excitement and shared it. We stayed 5 days so we saw quite a bit of them. One day a large group came from Australia and I watched as one guest came down to complain the room was too hot and then next came down to complain the room was too cold. I marveled at how well the staff handled each situation. And when I asked for a chair in the room instead of an ergonomic ball, they made it happen right away. Room was bigger than most European rooms. There is laundry onsite if you need it. Breakfast was worth the price and there is beer and wine in the evening. It takes about 10 minutes to walk downtown and the parking garage was very tight - I feared those corners and preferred parking on the street. That aside though, I really compliment the staff and wish I could remember their names (Sara? Hannah?)!!"

"The property is in a great location. It’s clean, safe and quiet and has air conditioning. It is located in old town and just steps from the Central Square. The owners were great to work with. We had a room refresh in our extended. Stay in the cleaners. Did a great job. We also extended our stay last minute and they were able to rearrange rooms so we didn’t have to move. We would definitely recommend this property.. "

"This hotel has a super cool vibe with an homage to Josephine Baker. The location is the best! Right across the street starts the old section of the city that everyone is there for. The breakfast in the hotel is great. There were also some nice cafes and dining right across the street and Nextdoor. Parking in the street was affordable, and easier than it looked. "

"This is an oasis in the middle of Sarlat. The hotel is gorgeous with beautiful decor and very historic. We loved learning about the building. The personnel were so lovely. They were extremely welcoming and helpful. In particular, Katiya was so nice. Her breakfast spread was so generous and I loved speaking French with her! She even helped me with a laundry issue :) Natalie who checked us out was so helpful. She told us about a Chateau only 20 minutes away that we had almost missed! We were so grateful for her guidance. She even brought our bags down to the car! A couple of clarifications: there is no elevator so pack wisely! We brought a small bag so that we wouldn’t have too much trouble up the stairs. Also, the parking garage is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel but you need to call and ask where’s the best place to drop your bags before parking. The hotel is in the middle of the pedestrian street so no cars are allowed but it’s only a 5 minute walk to the enclosed and very safe parking garage. This was not a big issue for us. The hotel has such comfortable rooms and linens! We had a very comfortable stay and lots of options for restaurants, coffee and dessert very near by. Can’t wait to go back!"

"This place is great, beautiful all around. I will be back. If you´re going by train, do call Christine, the owner, in advance. If she can, she will pick you up at la gare. Otherwise you have to download Sarlat´s taxi cab application before going, because there is no Uber nor a normal taxi service in town. Walking to the hotel from the Centre Ville will take around 10 minutes and it´s uphill. From la gare...maybe 20... but with luggage it can be hard. Ohh! Do sign up for breakfast and Christine´s amazing brownies and listen carefully to her recommendations. She really knows her region and will advise you wisely."
