The reception staff are extremely dry, like they don’t want you to stay at the hotel (could be racism, not sure and I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt). The interactions with the room service just completely ruined my stay. First issue was with the parking. I haven’t had to pay anything in better and bigger 5 star hotel stays, ever. Except for this hotel. They charge 12.5 euros for the parking per night, when I complained about that the unfriendly receptionist responded “well other parking facilities outside in the city would charge you double for overnight parking”. Well, you could charge NOTHING for your hotel guests, how about that?
Second horrendous thing is the whole “free water” conundrum. In any hotel, you would ring the reception, ask for water and they will call room service for you and send water to your room. Well in Marriott courtyard it’s not the case, I called the reception, they turned me down right away and asked me to call room service. I did so, room service instructed me to call the reception yet again and ask for “free water” as the water from room service is chargeable. Honestly I’d rather go outside buy water then come back rather than doing that. As it’s humiliating and the exact opposite of how reception staff should be. They lack something called being “courteous”. Don’t stay here unless you want to feel unwanted. Even though you’re paying a premium price. If you want to feel welcome go to the hotel I was staying at before “Pino nature hotel”
