Garbage/trash was not collected by the hotel staff. There was no explanation that I had to put it out. During 6 day stay, there was not once room was cleaned or towels were changed. Was I supposed to request for the service? The location was rather far from subway station and nearest grocery store was rather far. For travelers who do not have a car and have a problem with walking, it was tough. Sapporo Station and places around there (shopping, Hokkaido University, etc.) are also walkable, but it's a bit of a stretch, especially on hot days. Check-in and check-out was smooth. There are no humans present, everything is done via tablet, but it works. When the auto-lock on our door stopped working (probably low battery), they were very responsive and sent someone to fix it right away.
