Perfect place to stay in Santorini
Wow! My wife and I had the best time at Regina Mare. The view from our room was better than the pictures and in our opinion the best on the island. The staff were all welcoming and extremely helpful whether booking reservations, or giving recommendations. They truly care about giving good service. We booked a honeymoon room but were generously offered an upgrade to a delux suite. The room was clean spacious and extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our breakfast in the morning that is brought to you on the balcony. The food we ordered from their menu was great as well. Their tzaziki with fries was a great afternoon snack. The location is about a 30 minute walk to some of the larger villages. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from our balcony and walking the beautiful path towards Fira for dinner. Overall we didnt mind the distance and the peace and quiet you get from the bustle of the main towns is soo worth it. The hotel has a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that was perfect for our vacation. Thank you so much to the Regina Mare team for an amazing stay!

Our room was small, the bed was very small. The toilet was next to the bed. No privacy. The bathroom amenities need to be up to date they are too old. Too many stairs to get out of the property. On the other hand, the view is beautiful and the staff is very polite, respectful, helpful, and very nice. the pool is cold.

We spent a week in Regina Mare and enjoyed our stay very much. It is so well situated with excellent view on the caldera. Thanks to the crew - Kostas, the manager, who was so helpfull each time we asked for support and all entire staff, our stay was really memorable and exceptional. The property had amazing views and staff were amazing. However the main suite needs a stronger AC and it should be located in the bedroom area rather than the small alcove when you first walk in.

Good selection for breakfast. Great view of caldera and very private hotel. Comfortable bed however AC unit faced the door leading outside therefore the bathroom and bedroom didn’t get as cool as I would have liked. With the hotel being private (no one walking past your room) you do have to walk a significant distance from the parking area. But the view is worth it.

Regina Mare has a great relaxing, quiet feel to it. The rooms were very clean and nice. Pool and the views were awesome. It’s important to call the hotel 10 minutes before arrival in order to get help with your baggage, as the hotel is in a pedestrian area that is a good 150 meters from the street. Helen and the other employees were extremely friendly, and helpful. If you like hiking, the walk to Oia is spectacular, 2.5 hours.

This property was in an excellent location in Santorini. We were looking for a place away from the tourist crowds yet still accesses the spots to go to. There’s some walking and stairs to get to it, but we loved our stay.

We wanted to stay in Imerovigli searching for the right hotel. It was my GF's bday so it was important to get it right. The process, if you're reading this you obviously know , is quite difficult. If you are reading this feel secure that the pictures and the 5 star reviews of the Regina Mare are 100% accurate although the pictures don't do the location of the hotel the justice it deserves. The beauty of the pics of Santorini show white glistening hotels and buildings next to each other dotting the hillsides they are built into. Makes a great picture but visiting a number of them while there, eating at restaurants overlooking them, they lack the privacy that the Regina Mare provides. Its truly amazing as you see only one hotel barely to the south and nothing but mountain to the north and in front and below nothing but mountain terrain and the sea.. It truly feels like a separate piece of paradise. Sitting by the pool at sunset watching the brilliantly gold sun gently drop into the horizon is breathtaking. It feels as if you're on an ocean liner's balcony in the middle of sea. We saw a number of sunsets from various locations, and sitting at the hotel was the best. The rooms are all different, depends on your budget, you won't be disappointed. There are a few small rooms surrounding the pool you should try and avoid though. Its a bit of a walk to get there from the cab but so well worth it. Helen the manager is amazingly wonderful and the staff is warm and friendly! Book it!

Gorgeous Sunset Views!
Beautiful hotel with a fantastic view of the caldera. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with baggage (it's a bit of a climb down to the hotel). They will also help you book taxis and tours! The town is a little smaller than others we visited on Santorini, so the options for restaurants/bars were limited. Overall, this is a beautiful location and the sunset view is one of the best you can find! Just be prepared to climb lots of stairs and head to another town if you are looking for a livelier night. Would definitely recommend!

Regina Mare is an "Adults Only" hotel, which suits us. Although far from being isolated, it is very quiet and intimate. The rooms are typically Santorinian, which could be described as basic if you have only experienced 5 star Western edifices. However, there is everything you need for a relaxing, fabulous holiday.

Regina Mare is located in the village of Imerovigli north of Fira. It's within walking distance of Fira along the caldera walking path but is much quieter. It sits on the rim of the caldera with beautiful views and an excellent sunset. The rooms are clean and modern with sea views. The buffet breakfast is served from by the pool and you can eat there or take it to your own patio or balcony. Breakfast consists of English type breakfast food and a good selection of Greek food, along with sweet items. Unlike a lot of hotels along the caldera all the Regina Mare's patios and balconies are private and not overlooked or bordered by the path. The staff are excellent and can arrange trips or just give advice. It is an excellent hotel to stay in.

My wife and I stayed at Regina Mare for eight days on our honeymoon. WE LOVED IT! We rented the honeymoon suite, which came complete with our own private balcony and hot tub. It was the perfect place to spend our days watching the boats jut around the Caldera and catch a perfect view of stunning sunsets every night. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! Maria and the whole team really made us feel welcome and cared for. We would HIGHLY recommend staying with our friends at Regina Mare. The location of the hotel was perfect – within walking distance of Fira and along the hiking path to Oia. Imerovigli is a great place to stay if you want close walking access to all of the happening spots in Santorini, while being able to go back to your place whenever you want to get away from the crowds. It was the trip of a lifetime and one we will never forget – thanks in large part to the kindness, excellence, and professionalism of the Regina Mare team.

Hotel was amazing. It is situated at the end of the village in a quiet location with amazing sunset views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The breakfast buffet had a very nice variety, even for us vegetarians. Helen checked us in and out and is such a wonderful woman. She made us feel welcomed and relaxed after a long day of delayed travel. We had a deluxe suite and it was perfect. The room was very clean and spacious. Our favorite part was the private balcony with jacuzzi. The views are outstanding!! There’s a lot of walking and stairs, but it’s definitely worth it ! You won’t be disappointed staying here.

But the management staff lied to me as my wife and I were on our honeymoon and we had booked the room with an outdoor pool and got the room with the pool inside. I was not happy and asked to be moved they said no one was checking out the next 3 days, as I watched 3 rooms get turned over and new guests arrived. Would recommend it for everything it is but won’t go back my self as I was not happy with the management.

Probably one of the best hotels in Imerovigli IMO. The pool is a good size and along with our room are both shielded from the public walking along the cliff edge path. (Not all hotels have this kind of privacy in the area). Excellent service and excellent breakfast with loads of options. View from the hotel is one of the best in the area. The room occasionally had an "interesting" smell but that's probably the only criticism.

Maria and the staff were extremely helpful. From check in until check out they were courteous and went out of their way to provide good service. We were booked for 3 nights, 1 of which in a different room type. However, Maria upgraded us for the 2 nights and let us remain in the same room for the 3rd night which was really appreciated. The views were incredible, as good as anywhere. Breakfast was great and the hotel was in a quiet part of the island. We were so happy we barely left our balcony - would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views
This hotel is located in the town of Imerovigli, which is in between the towns of Fira and Oia. The views are amazing from this hotel and you will see incredible sunsets! I highly recommend getting a hotel room with the spa/jacuzzi on the outside deck if possible, but all rooms are nice. The staff are very pleasant and very helpful. There are great restaurants a short walk away and the hike to Oia is about 4 miles, which you should consider doing at some point during your stay. The hotel also has information about and can help arrange for special tours - they helped us with reserving a catamaran tour of the nearby islands. I would definitely come back again!

First stop in Greece on our 3 week tour of the country. Fantastic stay! Room as pictured, very clean, with incredible views right outside our doors. Staff very attentive to all of our needs. Excellent breakfast, starting each day outside on the the terrace overlooking the waters. Such an incredibly pleasant and relaxing stay!

The hotel has a fantastic position and very helpful staff. Maria and her team were always accommodating and provided a welcome bottle of wine and fruit basket.The breakfast was great and varied, even changing every day. It was lovely to have breakfast by the side of the pool with a breathtaking view. The area was convenient for Thira and Oia with a regular bus service. There were good local restaurants Overall a great place for a relaxing holiday
