Basic hotel but a good location for what we wanted. The room was big and comfortable, bathroom ok but in need of repairs/ upgrade, nonetheless, clean. Dirty window outside. The corridors were in need of upgrading. A bit of an odour and threadbare carpet in places. Chunks out of the corner wall outside our room. Breakfast adequate.

Wonderful Stay at Chiado 44 – Exceptional Hospitality!
Our stay at Chiado 44 was wonderful, but what truly made it special was the extraordinary kindness and hospitality of Isabelle.
While visiting Lisbon, I experienced a very painful eye issue that required medical attention. Being in a foreign country and not knowing where to turn was overwhelming. Isabelle immediately stepped in to help, graciously making several phone calls on my behalf to find medical care. Thanks to her efforts, I was able to get to a hospital where I received the help I desperately needed.
She went far above and beyond anything we could have expected. Her genuine concern, patience, and willingness to help meant more to us than she could possibly know.
Chiado 44 is a lovely place to stay, but it is people like Isabelle who make a place truly memorable. We will always remember her kindness and are so grateful that we chose to stay here.
I cannot recommend Chiado 44 highly enough. Thank you, Isabelle, for taking such wonderful care of us!

"I booked this hotel as it said parking available and it didn’t mention any fees. Upon arrival, first they said parking is not available and when I insisted and showed them my booking, they gave me a parking and charged me 5 euros! Everything else was good"
