Perhaps that's why the farmhouse has been preserved from the hustle and bustle of modern civilization and maintains all its rural charm. Today Quinta da Ortiga belongs to the Pestana Pousadas company that has recovered the main building and the small typical Alentejo houses around it, where the guests are housed. It also has a small chapel, a good restaurant, fountains and beautiful gardens.
