(1,001 reviews) The rooms need some work. I reserved 2 rooms and both had issues. The handles of some of the drawers were loose with the screw sticking out and I had a toddler with me and was afraid of her getting a scratch. My other room had a leak on the bathroom roof. It’s sad to see the resorts in puerto plata come so short when compared to Punta Cana resorts. Additionally, my main discontent with this hotel was the fact that you staff split my party into 2 different buildings and I found myself running back and forth because in one room I had 2 elderly, one using a cane to walk and in the other room (in a 3rd floor with NO elevator) I was forced to stay with 2 small children and had to be carrying my 1 year and 5 years old children plus stroller up and down. It didn’t feel like a vacation but a huge inconvenience. Lastly, my children did not like the fact that your pool closes so early at 6 pm. Why not extend it to 7 pm?
