Rooms were clean. Front end staff very helpful . Seriously , very well situated( food, shopping, laundry, accessible transportation….) Everything a solo traveller needs.Nothing wrong except a musty odour in the foyer which thankfully didn’t translate to the upper floors.

This hotel is very close to the centre of the old city and the Cathedral. No shortage of places to eat nearby and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed and a good shower. A great hotel for the price.

It was nice and clean . I have a lingering suspicion that those that answer the messages ( text, messenger, what’s app..etc) don’t relay the information to front end staff and communication is muddled. For instance their description says shuttle from airport. I’m guessing it had a different meaning in Spain.. that’s fine . They did have a taxi ready for me. Also had to send me a code as my plane arrived after 10 pm. Again the code was not as sent and actually passersby suggested adding an hashtag.. voila that worked.. thankfully 😅 Another reason I chose them by their description was because they said they stored luggage. Well according to front end they only store small luggage. Eventually they are storing it but after uncomfortable back and forth. I’ve booked with them again( if for nothing else to pick up luggage) . It is clean and it is in a very central area but just had unnecessary bother by miscommunications.

This was only a one night stay, but we would return to Hotel Montenegro for our next visit to the Camino. The location, cleanliness, and accommodations were all very positive. Having longer hours with front desk staff available would be the only improvement.

The hotel has a perfect location, near the cathedral. It is very clean, and the receptionist is very nice and warm. The only thing I was on the 1st floor and you hear everything from the lounge that the hotel has, It is very noisy. Also, the internet is not very stable. Other than that I will stay again in that hotel

Well situated right in the old town centre. It would be great if the staff could help guests with arranging luggage transports by the post office - a confusing chore, which all hotels are familiar with, but they didn't seem to know how to help. But the staff is friendly and English speaking, which is a great help.

Overall a good hotel to stay in. Very basic amenities. No save, frigde, microwave, paper cups, tea, nothing. Bed is in smaller size. It has elevator. Location very close to interesting places and St. James Church just go out to the left, voila. There's the main side door

Loved everything just no onsite parking

We loved everything about this hotel. The front desk was wonderful, the hotel is super charming. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. And the best part is that is right next to the Cathedral. The only thing I wish is that Hotel.com would have been more accurate about the parking situation. The hotel does not have on-site parking because it’s located in the heart of the historic center (a block from the cathedral which is spectacular). The front desk reception apologized for the confusion and was very helpful but says she is constantly having to tell the guest who call to check in asking where to park that they do not have parking. Other than the parking issue, the hotel is lovely and just a short 7 min walk from the closest parking lot (Interparking Plaza de Galicia) but it’s still a distance from the hotel. If staying for a day or two, bring just a backpack and/or small carrying. A medium size or more than that may be difficult to walk with but doable.

The location and the vibe are perfect. The hotel staff does leave, so you don't have any access to support overnight, but no access to support was needed during my stay. Highly recommended!

The location is wonderful! After arriving in Santiago de Compostela along the Camino, it was a treat to stay somewhere so lovely and so close to the cathedral. The rooms were charming and the staff were very helpful. The only downside to this property is that there is no one on sight to assist after 4 pm.

This is a boutique hotel, for Spain standards the hotel has very spacious rooms. Bed was awesome and bathroom super big. Definitely the best of all my Camino. Super close to everything. Staff is super nice and helpful.

The Montenegro hotel is very close to all the best bits of Santiago. Shopping, eating, historic buildings and of course the cathedral. The rooms are quite small, but modern and functional. No A/C which might be a problem in summer. WiFi was good and receptionist was very helpful. Shame that reception is only open for part of the day!
