Clean, comfortable and good value.
Near train and bus station. Very clean, comfortable bed and quiet location. Good coffee and simple breakfast in hotel cafe bar. Small supermarket and grocery store very close by. Dined in the nearby Pena Candil seafood restaurant and it was excellent.

Perfect hotel stay for only 2* and very close to city centre/bus station/train station. Staff were nice. Great cozy coffee place right next to hotel to have nice breakfast. Only downside was no air conditioning in the room. Overall lovely place to stay and will definitely visit again. :)

Excellent basic hotel.
Booked a cheap flight which arrived at 22:00 and needed a hotel convenient for airport bus stop and easy to find. San Glorio fitted the bill. Hotel is basic but spotlessly clean and price was very low on Hotels.com.

Very basic hotel but reasonable for the budget price. Room was very dark. It had a window but this looked towards an enclosed space with no sunlight. Occupant of adjacent room had a loud voice and seemed to forget that they were in a public place and held long phone conversations into the early hours. Not the hotel's fault but the thin walls didn't help. Furniture looked fit for the scrap heap. Bathroom was reasonably clean and functional. Reception staff were generally pleasant and communal facilities such as the lift were fine...though it scarily dropped an inch every time I stepped into it! The area isn't the best but Santander is generally a very safe city and the hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the city centre and especially convenient for the bus and train stations. Overall, a reasonable hotel considering the price and fine if you just need a bed for the night and somewhere to get clean. You can get better for a similar price but then you'll find yourself miles away on an industrial estate!

Adequate hotel for short stay.
At best, this is an adequate place to stay. There is no ambience to this hotel, just a long dark corridor to the rooms. The hotel shares the building with other apartments and is very noisy late into the night in our room. Very overpriced and expensive. The room was large and the bathroom was good. The coffee shop is good.

All good except for the smell of tobacco
All great excep they put us in smokers, when we dont smoke, and the room smelled quite a look like cigarrettes... we would have appreciated if they asked us if we actually wanted that. I guess they run out of non smoking rooms with a double bed but we would have prefered twin beds non smokers if that was the only option....

Hotel San Glorio is within walking distance of the bus and train stations, but this area is not nearly as nice as the areas farther up the bay. The linoleum floor in our small room was scarred and stained, and the towels were worn, but it was fairly clean. The biggest problems were the late night yelling and slamming from the apartments that share the courtyard and the lack of ventilation. The cool night air never reached our room, even w/ the window wide open all night. The front desk was helpful with directions.

Expedia web site said dogs were allowed at this hotel when I searched and put pets onto my search criteria but upon arrival they said no. The hotel staff were helpful but our dog had to sleep in the car. We would have booked a different hotel that took dogs if we had not been misled by your site.

Small friendly hotel
A very good budget hotel. The twin room was spacious and very clean and daily room cleaning / towel change available. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and overall a good place to stay.

Overnight in Santander
Spent a night there on two separate occasions while riding the metre guage FEVE trains. Great location close to both FEVE & RENFE stations. Friendly staff.

Got a double room to stay for the night. The headboard is glued to the wall covering the only plug socket. They left a leaflet for takeaway with English instructions to call reception if you don't speak Spanish they will order for you yet the receptionist didn't speak a word of English and so had to go downstairs with the menu and point at what I wanted for her to order. (She was a lovely woman with good manors though) I give a high rating for friendliness of staff, room was clean very fresh but the bed was uncomfortable gave me a back ache and the plug socket just made me question why would a hotel glue the headboard to the wall covering the only plug socket.

Good budget hotel/pension in Santander
The small hotel is conveniently located close (5-6 min walk) to train and bus station, including direct bus to airport. Also many shops and restaurants around, although most were closed Sunday evening. Don't expect luxury here, but a clean room and bathroom and comfortable bed. Perfect for one night stay. None of the receptionist spoke English, but they were nice enough so we could overcome communication problems.

A pleasant place to stay in Santander
It's close to downtown and the barrio pescadero, in a working class area a little ways from the beach (15 - 20 minute walk). Although it's a few blocks from the train and bus station, the neighborhood was perfectly fine and safe, with lots of little bars and stores around and plenty of street life. The hotel itself was a great value for the price: our room was spacious, clean and quiet, the service was impeccable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. t's not luxurious, but it's better than most other places I've ever stayed at the same price point.
