Beach service is available at Walton Dunes Access. We do not recommend using the beach access by building 6 due to the security guard posted by Sugar Dunes and the private homes. Guests should be made aware that this access is intended solely for reaching the Gulf. To set up on the beach, they will need to walk west past the private homes or east past Sugar Dunes. There is a beach trolley that runs from Spring Break to Sept 15th, every 10-15 minutes throughout the day from 9-4 pm. Walton Dunes Public Beach Access is the only access that offers beach chair service. AREA ATTRACTIONS: Seaside is a short drive away and is most widely known for being featured in The Truman Show with Jim Carrey. Its incredible architecture has helped to make it famous, but also its faithful replication of the kind of seaside town that used to be common up and down the coast. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs.
