I think this is a family run business. They offer breakfast in the morning from 9:30 am to 12 off of a menu made fresh. There is a little café area/bar where the Internet is better. I got lots of mosquito bites sitting there, however. My cabana itself had a fan over the bed, and a mosquito net, but it didn’t close all the way, so I had to use a hair clip to close it. And I hung my towel over the opening as well. There are shutter windows And wooden slats so it’s not a fully enclosed room so bugs can get in. The toilet was in a separate enclosure and the shower was in a separate enclosure behind the bed but with no fully enclosed wall. The most inconvenient thing about this spot is the sand hill you need to go up to get here. So if you were taking a collective and dragging luggage up the hill that would not be fun. I recommend taking a taxi right to the front entrance. It’s super close to the beach just a five minute walk down the hill. They did not offer potable water in the bedroom. I had to get it from the bar. There are some chickens roaming around and a dog. The place itself is well located and very clean. The room was done every day which was appreciated. The big downer was that they announce me when I arrived that I had to pay only CASH. It wasn’t planned at all and it meant using all the cash I had withdrawn for a week of holiday, with no money in any ATM in zipolite. Also there’s wifi only at the reception, it was non existent in the room. The room is very very basic with no AC, not even a chair or a glass in the room.
