"The staff on reception were very helpful, friendly and spoke many languages. The cleaners were also pleasant and kept the room immaculate. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The location was great, a 5 minute walk to the station and a similar distance to the old town. A fridge or kettle would have been nice and there isn't much space to hang clothing but I really can't complain for the price. There is a cheap coffee machine and vending machine in the lobby and a supermercado across the road. If you want somewhere to sleep and maybe have a little rest while exploring the area, this is a great hotel. We upgraded to the 3 person room, even though there were only 2 of us, for the queen sized bed."

"We were only there for 1 night but what a gorgeous, historic property. Staff welcomed us with bubbly while we checked in. The open air lobby was gorgeous as was the breakfast room. Delicious food offered for breakfast and gorgeous table settings and decor. We really enjoyed our time at breakfast. Our room was smallish but had everything we needed. Cool little patio that we didn’t get to enjoy due to the short stay. Bed, sheets, pillows all very comfy and lux feeling. The room would have been hard for us with a longer stay due to set up. Walking in the room is the sink immediately and on other side of wall was the bed with shower/bathtub in the open room. Toilet was off the side of the bed in a little room. It was all beautiful but didn’t feel very user friendly. Cannot say enough about the top notch staff and service. It was a beautiful hotel and incredibly well maintained/clean."

"Decent place but nothing fancy. Room was functional and generally clean, though had a little bit of a funky smell, maybe from the cleaning products, that lingered through the stay. Appreciated the desk, closet and bench to set things, but more hooks, bars and hangers to hang things would have been appreciated. Not many property amenities - though it had food facilities and outside tables. Would have welcomed a gym, a room fridge, and ice. Slight walk or bus ride from the center, but not too bad and price more reasonable as a result."

I was happy. In the evening the serves wine and beer at reasonable prices. Even my “cheapest possible” room was cleaned, new linens every day."
