Good idea to rent a car at Toyota Rent a Car/Hertz as the drives through the mountains are great, and the local bus service is good, but does not run all day."

Fresh towels hung on your door knob daily. Bus stop/both stations are max 4-5 min flat walk. If strong from Tokyo take the SpaciaX train. New, clean and very comfy (leaves Asakusa sun in Tokyo and stops at Ueno also from memory"
