"When we arrived at the hotel, a few minutes before check in, we went to the front desk amd the clerk was struggling to find our room. When he finally was able to find it, it wasnt ready and there were repairs that needed to be fixed like a broken sink faucet handle. We waited for the repair to be made, in the mean time I was asked to sign a couple forms. One form in particular was a pet policy since we had our dog with us. They were asking for an additional $40 a night for our dog (labordoodle) and stated that the dog can't be in the room at any time unattended and if he was then it would be an additional $250. This seemed outrageous to me, especially since we usually stay at Holiday Inns (one just right down the road) and have never had a pet policy or additional fees. We were unfortunately already locked into the stay at this hotel and very limited rooms available in surrounding area. I did some digging, still waiting on the room to be fixed, and finally found the fine print about the dog policy in our stay and then looked at additional hotels that only charge $25/night for pets. I expressed my concerns and they finally were willing to budge to $25. We ended up being able to work with family to arrange places for the dog to stay. Sadly they're fine with people smoking Marijuana in No Smoking rooms but a well mannered dog is not welcome. Also the repaired faucet handle broke immediately after the first use. Will NOT be staying at this property again...."

"The staff were amazing! Hotel was quiet & clean. There were only two small complaints: 1. The room wouldn't get cold enough for us to sleep well. We like it cold when we sleep & the fan kept cutting it even though it was in the 'on' position. 2. The 'bars was only open from 5 - 10 & you couldn't get a drink without ordering food. The problem is that the 'food' was VERY limited, i.e. popcorn, fries, burger, frozen pizza. (Hector was AWESOME! BTW) Other than that.... it was awesome!"

"Our bathtub was very hard to turn on and off. We couldn’t get it to not drip. The room was very clean and staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. Pool clean."

"The Ivy Cottage was perfect! It’s exactly as advertised and has absolutely everything you need exactly where you expect it to be for your stay! The hosts are excellent at communicating with you! The downstairs bed is super comfortable!! We loved the garden area, the view is fantastic and location is spot on! Eric’s restaurant suggestions were delicious! We loved our time at Ivy Cottage and can’t wait to book again!! Highly highly recommend this place!! You won’t regret it! It’s very clean, quiet, relaxing and peaceful!!"

"Nice little room. Could have used a bit of detail cleaning for spider webs, doors, switch plates. The gap under the door needed a strip of some kind. There was also no hair dryer. We loved the mini fireplace and convenient location. "
