"For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle. The hotel is near the Central Market, Harbour Mall & the promenade plus local shops but don’t get...

The owners were very welcoming and willing to share their passionate stories about the hotel! Breakfast was good - different on both mornings. Tasty and light food to set you up for the days! "Rooms never serviced. Bring your own shower gel and shampoo. Thin towels and only two per room. Cold breakfast from the buffet. Could do with having a drinks and snacks cabinet. Lumited cold drinks when resturant shut. Nothing around there shop wise. Bring supplies. On the plus the people at the desk were good. And walking distance to Orang-Utan, Sun Bear and RDC. Or 4 ringets in taxi, so cheap."
