"What an absolute gem. A few minutes walk to the beach and a stroll into town to the wonderful harbourside market for fresh produce for the BBQ. So many quaint streets with lots of upmarket shops and restaurants. We had a lovely scenic walk along the coast to Bandol and a boat trip out from the harbour to see dolphins. The hosts were charming and responded very rapidly to any queries. The house itself is spacious and comfortable with a lovely private pool and outside eating and relaxing area. All you could want for a holiday by the sea in France. "

"15 jours dans cette belle maison ancienne, très bien située qui permet de faire tout à pieds (si on marche sans difficultés). Pas de déco moderne mais elle a son charme. Pas de climatisation mais ventilateurs et la maison reste assez fraîche (nous avons eu une dizaine de jours de canicule). Literie très bonne qualité. Cuisine bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et arrangeants. Nous recommandons vivement. "

"Very modern and clean on the beach. Pool is great. Restaurants are great. Beach area is public but pretty nice. No lounge chairs on the beach. Overall we really liked this property. Kind of a fun area near Toulon. "

"No accommodation for elderly nor handicapped, One key only per room One towel per guest, no cloth wash, no towel hanger, limited paper toilet, no paper toilet hanger,very tiny shower without curtain, impossible to not flood the bathroom and very slippery, Construction site, be aware of noise& smell Took for ever to check in …incapable receptionist, she said first week on job. Air conditioning frozen to undesired temperature. "

"Beatrice's villa looks idyllic in the lead photograph in the listing and doesn't disappoint. The garden is pretty and a good size for a town-centre property, the swimming pool traditionally constructed from limestone and rendered walls is delightful, the planting simple but effective - with a lovely bourgainvillea over the terrace area, and - of course - charming shutters to shade all the rooms.The interior is plain and simple in it's decoration and furnishing and SO well equipped! The rooms all a good size, and a large dining area is mirrored outside by two dining areas on the terrace.There was a short delay in receiving our instructions about how to access the villa prior to arrival, but once there we met the neighbour who was so helpful both then and throughout our stay.Sanary-sur-Mer itself is a very lovely French seaside town. It's municipal planting and public areas couldn't be better, the marina balances rather than dominates the old port, there's a really excellent DAILY market, many great shops. All the local people we met were friendly and helpful without exception.And Beatrice's villa is a step away from all this, yet such a peaceful retreat. All-in-all it offered us a wonderful holiday.
