It has everything you could possibly want or need. The owners tend a lovely garden of fruit trees, shrubs , vegetables and flowers and provide several large patio areas from which to enjoy it. It is in a very quiet neighborhood just outside the town. Convenient to autostrada and local highways so the location was great for day trips. The grocery store and gas station are just 5 minutes from the house. Owner Maria Rosario was so kind and helpful and lives only 5 minutes away so anytime we had a question or small problem she was at the door to help. She took us to the local bakery , suggested a fantastic tiny local restaurant, then drove us to the parking area in town and walked us to the door of the restaurant. One day she arrived with roses from the garden. She speaks no English but we speak enough Italian to communicate. Her son, Vincenzo, speaks English very well. Don't hesitate to rent this house. La casa rispecchia quanto descritto nella presentazione ed è immersa nella campagna in un grande giardino con alberi da frutta. Abbiamo scelto questa casa per la tranquillità e per la sua posizione che ci ha consentito di visitare diverse località del Salento. La casa grazie al patio consente di mangiare all'aperto con una bella vista del giardino circostante. The house is really well maintained, air-conditioned (that you really need with the beautiful Puglian sunshine!) and set in beautiful grounds. Our host Rosaria was fantastic and she couldn't have been more helpful. You are guaranteed a very warm welcome here. Despite the lack of a common language we got by easily with google translate. Rosaria lives only a couple of km's away and she was available for help and advice on what to do and where and any problems at the house whenever we needed. There is a great local bakery just a few minutes drive away that she recommended, a small supermarket close by and much larger one just 10 mins drive away. There were a couple of recommendations from local people that we didn't get to visit - but next time we will be sure to check these out - Locanda di Nonna Mena (a restaurant that is part of the slow food movement) and ExFadda (a cultural/arts centre with a great cafe and restaurant). There are great sandy beaches just 20 mins drive away at Specchiolla - these can get pretty busy but the water is crystal clear and great for kids and adults alike. Also we did a fabulous guided bike tour with MadEra bike tours. They are a 30 min drive away but it is well worth it, a 10km tour through the Coastal Dunes Park with stunning scenery and great local and historical knowledge. Stayed 7 nights in May 2018 Verified ### 10/10 Excellent #### Jakob J. 4 Jun 2018 #### Schön und gastfreundlich Ein angenehmer Aufenthalt in einem praktischen, gepflegten Haus mit sehr schöner großer Terrasse und einem weitläufigen Garten mit sehr vielen wunderbaren Blumen, Gemüse und Obstbäumen. Am Ortsrand in einer sehr ruhigen ländlichen Idylle gelegen, aber nicht weit zu den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die freundliche Gastgeberin spricht Deutsch und kümmerte sich um jeden Wunsch. Der Gastgeber überraschte uns mit Gemüse aus dem Garten und anderen landwirtschaftlichen Erzeugnissen. Wir sind rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. ##### Jakob J. Das schöne Anwesen hatte einen tollen Garten, es war sehr ruhig mit netter Hauskatze. Frau Rosaria spricht sehr gut Deutsch. Sie und ihr Mann waren sehr gastfreundlich! ##### Ulrike B. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig auf dem Lande, wobei San Vito di Normanni in gut erreichbarer Nähe liegt. Um das Haus großer, sehr gepflegter Garten, teils Landwirtschaft. Die Eigentümer in jeder Weise überaus freundlich, hilfreich und zuverlässig. Wir können diese Unterkunft in jeder Weise empfehlen. Eigenes Fahrzeug notwendig. - April / Mai 2017\. Casa arredata in modo molto simpatico e individuale. È situata in campagna, molto tranquilla, San Vito di Normanni è comunque raggiungibile in poco tempo. Giardino molto ampio e curato, in parte terreno agricolo. I proprietari sono gentilissimi, alla mano e affidabili. Casa da raccomandare a tutti. Bisogno di propria macchina . La casa è a pochi passi da San Vito in una zona tranquilla, è dotata di tutti i comfort ed ha uno spazio esterno attorniato da alberi da frutto. I proprietari sono molto accoglienti. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Siamo andati nelle meravigliose spiagge della riserva naturale di Torre Guaceto, Ostuni, Cisternino, Zoosafari di Fasano, Grotte di Castellana.....e da non perdere i fantastici alberi secolari di olivo che si trovano tra San Vito e la riserva di Torre Guaceto. ##### Giovanna S. Archival ### 10/10 Excellent #### Marit O. 10 Aug 2016 #### Ruhige, hübsche Landhaus Uns hat der Urlaub bei Maria Rosario sehr gefallen. Das Haus und die Umgebung waren sehr schön. Das Wohngebäude war gut ausgestattet, heimisch und sicher. Als zusätzlichen Bonus bekamen wir jeden Abend frisches Gemüse aus dem Garten! Die Besitzer des Hauses befanden sich auch selber jeden Abend in Ihrem Garten und wenn wir Fragen hatten, bekamen wir auch sehr schnell Hilfe. Danke! ##### Marit O. La maison est tres bien équipée, tres propre et bien située pour visiter la région des Pouilles (et au calme !) Nous avons pu profiter de la grande terrasse et du joli jardin. A pochi passi spiagge da sogno e il centro di san vito dei normanni, vivace e accogliente. Tantissimi i luoghi da vedere nei dintorni. I proprietari sono persone squisite.Al nostro arrivo siamo satati accolti dai prroprietari con un cesto di frutta e verdura di stagione. Abbiamo trovato un ambiente familiare e goduto di ottima ospitalità.
