The room was very clean, Breakfast was not great! There was very little choice, this was the 3rd hotel that I had stayed in during my trip and the worst Breakfast..you had to ask the member if staff for more coffee and it felt like you were imposing on them. The hotel itself is lovely but the area is very rough. Every cafe I went into advised me to put my bag in front of me and look out for pick pockets.

Great place to stay! Very clean, cultural in design, helpful staff, and nice breakfast in the morning (10 euros each person per day). The only down side I would say is that you cannot bring outside food or drink because they would have to separate everything out for disposal- from my understanding. It is a bit of a walk to the center plaza, but well worth the views!

The check-in process was completely lacking. I stood outside for over an hour emailing calling and trying to get lit in the door. It says the front office is open, but you have to know how to get in the door. Apparently you have to use the keypad and click on one of the options that was available. But nowhere was that in the directions and the phone number to call the reception area was not taking phone calls and no one ever responded to my emails so I spent almost 2 hours standing outside until other people came along and let me in. Absolutely ridiculous!

We stayed for two nights and we liked several things. We arrived around 10 AM, before the 2 PM check-in, and the owner kindly kept our luggage and called when the room was ready around noon. The room was comfortable, everything worked, housekeeping was good, and staff arranged a porter to the bus stop at checkout. The other staff were also polite and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by interactions with the owner. When we left our luggage, my wife asked whether it was safe in the hallway. The response that “nobody is interested in your luggage” felt unnecessarily abrupt. A simple reassurance would have been more appropriate. The more serious issue was at breakfast. We are vegetarian and asked about alternatives given the limited selection. The owner brought some tomatoes, which we appreciated. However, when my wife pointed out that some fruit appeared old and asked about other options, the conversation became confrontational. We were told that if we needed so many things, we should stay at a five-star hotel. The following day, my wife was again described as “complicated” and told to stay at a five-star hotel. The conversation escalated, with raised voices in front of other guests. We felt it could have been handled more calmly and professionally. The hotel has many positives, but the owner’s handling of the situation overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay.
