Find the Best San Marcos Bed and Breakfast

"Amenities were great. Pool near our room was zero entry and heated making it great for our toddler. Splash pad was alot of fun. Hard to get it to turn on sometimes. Room was nice. Check in was brutal! Waited hour and half in line to check in to then be directed to another desk to wait in line for a parking pass and try to be sold on attending time share presentation. 2 hours to check in after starting our travel day 5am to get there with a 2 year old wasnt fun. Was also told at check in that our room would be cleaned every 2 days. Didnt come to clean it until the 7th day of our 8 day stay. That was after us calling and requesting housekeeping twice. And didnt come until evening in the middle of us eating dinner. Had to request towels in the middle of our stay and took 2 hours to deliver them. Amenities made our stay great but place didnt seem to be ran well. "

"All went well. Everyone was super nice. Bartenders were professional. Room was clean and in good condition as expected. The only disappointment was the fact that the cafe was not open for lunch on our departure. "

"Check in was insanity. Only 2 front desk people at 4pm check in time caused a line out the door. At one point an additional staff member came in and then left. Furthermore, there's not enough parking space with the restaurant and the renatl car place all in the same area so blocking off 2 entire sections for charter buses and still charging $40 to park is a bit ridiculous. The hotel itself is alway on point but lack of staff and the ridiculous parking space with such a hefty fee needs some improvement "

"Stayed at Hyatt Regency La Jolla for one night. Overall a good experience for the price. Room was clean and comfortable, staff were normal and helpful when needed. The restaurant food was tasty, which was a nice bonus. Nothing overly fancy, but solid value for money. Would consider staying again."

"Carpet in rooms needed cleaning there were several spots on carpet and entry walkway had not been mopped there was a spill or something still on the floor "

"It's a mixed bag of hotel and long-term resident. Location is perfect and plenty of parking."

"Most staff were super nice and responsive. Rooms were clean. Beds only had sheets, no blanket cover as pictured, "we are transitioning to no blankets so some rooms have them, some don't" was odd, although they gave me a mismatched blanket upon request. Overall stay ok, but be sure to put "do not disturb" on your door. Eight-thirty am the cleaning supervisor was pounding on our door, demanding to know if we would need our room cleaned that day so she could make her schedule (not do cleaning right then, but make her plan). Very unpleasant awakening. Overall summary: this place was reasonably priced, clean, convenient to 805."

"Room wasnt ready even after they gave us the key to get in. I reserved 3 rooms, all the rooms smelled like urine or dirty mop water. My guests were embarrassed as well as I. Still waiting on the hotel to respond to hotels.com regarding my request!"
