First of all, I have learned that traveling with dogs could be a challenge. Motel 6 offers great rates for pet owners and pets in general but bring your own shampoo. Each motel apparently is own by different people or groups so there is no standard rule for keeping them clean, and for having basic room amenities. We have traveled many times and used other pet friendly motels/hotels in California but this one in Pismo Beach was not as good. We still have a good memory while we stayed at the Santa Barbara Motel 6 at the beginning of 2026…this was super clean and it was the first ever Motel 6 in California. Safe travels everyone!

We had to use the same towels for 3 days cause they said they didn't have any extras and to have to pay over 250 a night they only have 2 little bars of soap nothing extra no fridge, microwave or coffee maker I know i will never stay there again front staff were very friendly.

Almost on the corner of major highway. Swimming pool with small children . Even with those sources of noise the front facing room I had, did not have any noise issues. A bit of light-bleed from across the street. The interior fan was a bit loud , working hard to cool down the room. The check-in process was efficient. The parking lot clean and well lit. Easy distance to Pismo Beach Pier

Would not recommend even on a low budget Mold on the showers, dirt on the sheets, stained pillows, door wouldn’t close all the way, if you’ve seen the movie vacancy, you’d understand the atmosphere of the rooms. Shut this place down.

The bed was very uncomfortable. We had a handicap room. My husband and I stayed in the room. Two towels, one wash cloth is all we had. Also no floor mat. Light on one side didn't work. No coffee, No shampoo either. Very basic room. No refrigater, no closet. On a upside it was quiet.

Room was clean, Staff were friendly, the motel just needs to be updated and kept up with. Every-time we went to shower, we turned on the light inside the shower and it flickered and screws were missing, when the water was turned on it gave out a moldy stench, the vent was popping out.

Property was not as advertised. Room says no smoking but has strong cigarette smell. Did not appear to be very well kept and cleanly. However I will give the staff a good rating as the front desk was very helpful and informative.

The property was clean. The chain link fence between the motel and Dennys needs to be repaired. There was a palm tree laying in the corner of the parking lot. The doors to the rooms needs to be painted. The beds where some what comfortable. The room was clean. The biggest thing I would say is if your in a downstairs room the ceiling is thin and you can hear all the movement from upstairs.

Room and property generally was pretty run down. Staff was very nice and tried to be helpful. The room didn’t have many amenities. There was a bit of a weird smell. The air conditioner didn’t work, pumped out hot air, making the smell worse. It was quiet at night, and I was able to sleep pretty well.
