Loved it here the hotel is close by to the center of town and close to the lake the restaurants are very close by and the staff is very nice. I got to sit out for the eclipse and the fresh air was amazing sitting outside on the rocking chair. Had parking for the car which is a nice addition since a lot of the hotels don’t have it.
The view and stay were great overall.
Staff was very accommodating

Disliked: Amenities
The location was good and the room spacious. Breakfast was also good. Had nothing else to offer. Had to request a fan for the room. The bed linens should be updated. No TV or hair dryer in the room.

This hotel is a great option with a top location. The room was big enough, the staff very friendly and the included breakfast was a nice feature. The town is tiny and you can walk anywhere, but we discovered a shortcut behind the property that took us to the pier, that was very useful on our way back to Panajachel.
It was a very nice place very quiet. We got there after hours we were able to go in through the back door to the facility. We rang the bell, and the guy gladly came out to help us.

The hotel is nice and customer service is great. One downfall is that you must shower during daylight to get hot water. There is also not much insulation in the walls, and lots of barking dogs around. But for the price its a nice place.

Staff was very nice and hard working. Breakfast was really good included with price of room but you can add to it for additional cost. It was well cooked. Very nice view. It seems they are renovating and expanding hotel. No AC or tv but the view was amazing
The hotel room was fine and having the free breakfast was really nice. We needed to communicate with them before we arrived due to a flight delay and we were hoping to get a partial refund for one night as it was refundable before a certain date and we couldn’t arrive on the date planned. However, communication with them was next to impossible, which was really stressful and so we couldn’t change the reservation. It was also really noisy outside the hotel overnight due to things beyond their control like fireworks, roosters, and dogs howling, but worth noting you might want to bring earplugs
This is a nice new hotel in San Juan, and very reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the area feels very safe and full of locals. It's a short walk into town or down to the pier. The rooms are large with nice high ceilings and you can sit out on wicker rocking chairs to enjoy the outside. No biting bugs due to altitude so you can relax!
It would be nice to have a few hooks in the room to hang towels, coats etc.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mercy and would definitely recommend it. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Umbrella Street, the main dock, restaurants, cafés, and other popular attractions around Lake Atitlán.
Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel grounds and gardens are beautiful, creating a peaceful atmosphere, and the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Breakfast was included and offered a nice variety of options.
The only thing we wish had been made clearer before booking is that the rooms do not have air conditioning or a television. Fortunately, the weather in the area is cool, especially at night, so we never actually needed A/C. However, as travelers who are used to hotels offering air conditioning, it was surprising to arrive and find that it wasn’t available.
The hotel also offers free parking, which we appreciated. My only suggestion would be to improve the appearance of the entrance and parking area, as it could benefit from being paved or better landscaped to match the beauty of the rest of the property. Additionally, a couple of the outdoor furniture pieces, while beautiful, needed minor repairs because some nails were exposed.
It was great to see that the hotel is expanding and continuing to grow, which speaks well of its future. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again.
We were a little bit sceptical about this hotel because it is relatively new - but we loved our stay and would recommend it! The staff is very kind and helpful; the hotel has recently introduced free breakfast coffee, which is delicious and made to order. It is very well located to the centre of San Juan and it has a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. It’s clear that the staff are still working on improving the hotel but there is no active construction going on right now. The shower was not very hot, and did not drain very well, but otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!
Everything was great, except we couldn’t find any one at the front desk. No television. Breakfast was very good and the excellent services. Closed to everything
The place is in an awesome area, walking distance the main strip, calle de las sombrillas, calle de los sombreros and many restaurants.
Only downside about the room is that their beds are firm, and I mean hard as a rock. Pillows were too shallow, didn't get mush sleep, very uncomfortable beds.
The room was very clean with a really nice view. The breakfast was very good! I wish it was available longer than an hour and a half, but overall it was delicious. The staff didn’t seem to be in very good moods and was very short when it came to helping us with basic stuff. My biggest complain would be the flat pillows and the beds being hard as rocks. My partner and I both couldn’t sleep the first night at all, and after the second night both of our backs were killing us. I wouldn’t stay here again, only because of how uncomfortable the beds were, but overall, everything else was great
Rooms are bare and not the cleanest. Hair on the floor and behind the beds. Shower was cold. Door frames are not flush with the door and potentially open to all kind of critters entering the room. We used a towel overnight to try and close the gap. We did not partake in the included breakfast after reading some reviews. No English spoken here but we managed with Google translate. Hotel is under construction and very loud early in the mornings. Gates are locked overnight so we didn't feel unsafe. Wouldn't stay here again and I definitely overpaid for this place.
The only 2 things, room was very hot day and night, and they are not ready for power outage, if they're able to do something about this I would definitely come back to stay again...
