The Space:

This bayside two-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 6 guests across two bedrooms and a comfortable living room sofa bed. The primary bedroom features a king bed, while the second holds a queen — both designed for restful nights after a day exploring the bay. The open living area invites you to unwind in front of the TV or gather over a board game, while the fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals at home. Step out onto the private balcony or terrace for unhurried mornings with coffee and a view of San Juan Bay. A single well-appointed bathroom completes this relaxed, bay-view retreat.



Water Supply

While water outages are uncommon, we are prepared. We have backup water tanks on-site.

In the event of an external service interruption:

- Minimum Use: Reduce water consumption to the essentials only.

- Laundry: The use of the washing machine is suspended during the outage.



Hurricane and Storm Policy

We want your stay to be safe, but we cannot control nature.

- Refunds: No refunds of any kind will be issued for weather-related causes.

- Flexibility: In the event of an atmospheric phenomenon, we offer the option to reschedule your vacation, subject to our calendar availability.



Guest Access:

You'll have full access to the entire apartment, as well as the property's shared amenities and common areas.



The Neighborhood:

Bay View is a laid-back, local pocket of Cataño set right on the edge of San Juan Bay — a quieter alternative to the city, with some of the area's best-rated waterfront dining just minutes away.



Chianina (4.9★, Italian) Casilda Cocina Creativa & Sunset Rooftop (4.5★, Puerto Rican cuisine and cocktails with a bay-view terrace) anchor the local food scene, alongside La Yola Cataño (4.7★, grill with waterfront views) and El Punto Sabroso (4.7★, family-friendly Puerto Rican fare). It's also home turf for Casa Bacardí, Puerto Rico's most visited attraction, just a short drive away, and the AcuaExpreso ferry terminal, which puts the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan within easy reach.



Getting Around:

A car is the most flexible way to explore, though it isn't strictly required. Casa Bacardí is about a 12-minute drive (5.7 km), and the AcuaExpreso ferry terminal — with a scenic ~10-minute crossing to Old San Juan — is roughly 10 minutes away (3.5 km). Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) is around 40 minutes by car (19 km), depending on traffic. Uber and Lyft operate in the area, though pickup times can run a bit longer than in San Juan proper, so booking ahead is a good idea; taxis are also available on request.

Utilities & Weather in Cataño, Puerto Rico



Electricity Management: Due to the energy situation in Cataño, Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, power outages can occur from time to time. This property does not have a backup generator. During an outage, we recommend keeping devices charged in advance and being mindful of perishable food.

Water Supply: Water outages are uncommon, and we're prepared with backup water tanks on-site. If an external service interruption happens, we recommend using water only for the essentials and pausing the washing machine until service is restored.

Extended Outages: If an outage lasts more than 3 hours and you choose to stay, you may request a refund for the affected nights. If you'd prefer to cancel the remainder of your stay, you may request a refund for the unused nights.

Hurricane & Storm Policy: We want your stay to be safe, but weather is out of our control. No refunds are issued for weather-related cancellations; however, in the event of a storm, we're happy to help you reschedule, subject to calendar availability.
