The Space: Artistic Escape is a modern two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment located in the vibrant heart of Santurce, Puerto Rico. Perfect for families, friends, or business travelers, our stylish retreat offers a blend of comfort and luxury with all the amenities you need for a memorable stay. This location is known for its eclectic mix of art, music, and cuisine, and you will have it all within walking distance or just a short ride away! The unit includes a washer and dryer, great for longer stays! IMPORTANT NOTE: NO ELEVATOR Please be advised that this building does not have an elevator, and this amenity is not selected on our listing. Access to all floors is by stairs only. This unit is located on the 4th floor, requiring approximately 15 steps per floor to reach. We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests with mobility concerns to plan accordingly. IMPORTANT NOTE: NO PARKING Please be aware that there are no 24-hour parking garages nearby, and street parking is limited and often challenging to find, especially during peak hours. For this reason, we do not recommend renting a car for your stay at this property. We 100% recommend using Uber for getting around the area. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Artistic Escape features two well-appointed bedrooms, each with a cozy queen bed, closet space, air conditioning, and black-out curtains. The master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom for added convenience. The 2nd bathroom is located in the hallway PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. KITCHEN Artistic Escape has a top-notch kitchen! The stone countertops and modern white cabinets give it a truly fresh look. The kitchen has beautiful new cabinetry and is stocked with cooking pots and pans and all kitchen utensils. It also has a full-size fridge, microwave, 4-burner stovetop, toaster, and coffee maker. The kitchen island has counter stools that seat 4 guests. You will love to cook your favorite meals in this fantastic kitchen. GETTING AROUND We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general San Juan/Metro area. If you plan to rent a car to explore the island, this property DOES NOT include parking. LOCATION Artistic Escape is located in Santurce, Puerto Rico. This is considered a trendy and upcoming location in San Juan. From Artistic Escape, you are within a 10-minute drive away from the sand, and within walking distance of some of the best dining options, Puerto Rico has to offer. Explore local art galleries, enjoy live music at nearby venues, and savor the diverse culinary offerings ranging from traditional Puerto Rican dishes to trendy fusion cuisine. Don't miss a visit to La Placita, a lively market and nightlife hub where you can experience the local flavor and dance the night away. Forget the rental car because from here you can walk or Uber to everything! The apartment is approx. 10 minutes from the airport, restaurants, parks, supermarkets, pharmacies, and shops, all within walking distance. TRAVEL INSURANCE We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. AMENITIES West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide two bath towels per guest and one beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least two beach chairs and an ice cooler. West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel-size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, three garbage bags, one roll of paper towels, two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, one dish soap, and one dish sponge. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay. HOUSE RULES This apartment is located in a residential building. Guests must stay in this property and keep noise to a minimum. Quiet hours are from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am and are strictly enforced. Guests that receive noise complaints from neighbors will have their reservations canceled and will need to find other lodging alternatives. Check-in time is at 4:00 pm. Check-out time is at 11:00 am NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated. NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated, and you will be expelled from the property. All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first. Maximum occupancy of 4 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors. Do not hang towels or clothes from the balcony or windows. Do not wash white towels with colored beach towels. Any damaged towels will be charged for the security deposit. Max. occupancy is strictly enforced, and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property. Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess; stained towels/linens will be charged. Subletting not allowed The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS The West Indies Vacation Rental staff is eager to ensure everything about your vacation is 5-stars.
