The Artist Condo in Barrio Dent The Artist Condo is a spacious and luminous condo and art gallery that shows the work of local artists. We're located in Barrio Dent at a walking distance from Barrio Escalante, the cultural and gastronomic epicenter of San José. NO PARTIES/NO FIESTA We strictly abide by all sanitary measures related to Covid-19 by instructing our staff to guarantee the health standards, including handwashing, social distancing, use of gloves and masks, deep disinfection of our residence. Everyone is welcome About the space: ENGLISH It is important that you check all the house rules before you make the reservation. In case of not complying with the rules, you will be asked to leave with no refund. Our space has 3 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped modern kitchen, a large living room, a dining room, and a laundry room. It's located on the sixth floor of an iconic apartment building from the 60s with elevator access. From the living room, you have a unique view of the city and mountains. Barrio Dent is at a 5 min peaceful walk from Barrio Escalante, a beautiful bohemian neighborhood. A walk-in its streets will be enough to be amazed by its artistic manifestations, murals, the hip Francia Park, design stores, and hidden treasures. You’ll be able to find all kinds of gastronomic offers, from vegan and vegetarian to fine cuts of meat. The renowned supermarket “Auto-Mercado” is 1 min away and a shopping center 5 min away. Also, it’s at a walking distance of less than 15 min from the emblematic art house movie theatre “Magaly” and all the main museums of the city: The National Gallery of Contemporary Art and Design (MADC), Jade Museum, The Costa Rican National Museum, The Gold Museum, and others. Also, we're located at a 45min drive or 1hr bus from the magical volcanoes Irazu and Poas. Excellent communication with property owner from the very beginning. She went above and beyond, even offering airport transportation option. Apartment is literally next to a great grocery store, and is within easy walking distance of so many restaurants, several museums, the iconic Mercado Central, train station, very unique Starbucks, a mall, numerous parks, and more. So convenient. Very secure/safe property with remote-operated main entrance to building and solid lock on apartment door. Property is so well equipped -- super kitchen that lacked nothing for us. Many basic cooking consumables available (soaps, spices, cooking oil, coffee, filter, coffee maker, cleaning supplies). Very clean all around, spacious, and comfortable. Good closet space. Great wi-fi and TV channel options. We were thrilled to have a washing machine with plenty of detergent and fabric softener available. Laundry room has unique overhead clothes drying rack, vice clothes drying machine, but with a little planning, we easily had fresh, clean, and dry clothes just 24 hours after washing. Plenty of hot water for our group of six. Huge sliding glass door opens for such nice outside airflow. Very nice view to the mountains north of San Jose. Cannot say enough positive things about the property and its owner. The artwork is very unique and such a great touch. We feel so lucky to have found this gem, which got our 12-day trip off to a perfect first five days. We would immediately stay here again and will always look for that opportunity.
