Amazing place with a great view. The owner there was super nice helped us find the best route to our next destination and helped find great viewpoint and restaurants on the way. Its family owned breakfast was very refreshing. We did not have AC in our room they quickly accommodated. Would definitely stay here again.

I had such a wonderful experience staying here I felt at home! The view is amazing! Swimming in the pool and looking out at the view was a highlight. The owner is such a friendly person who is there to help whenever there is anything that I needed! There was really cute bunnies (mango and waffles) overall I will be back I truly enjoyed my trip to Costa Rica. The room was clean and very spacious.

We had Rosy’s breakfast several times, She is amazing and her room service dinner are price very reasonable. Rosy’s Fry fish was the best we have had. Awesome in every way. The family was absolutely lovely! So kind and accommodating. While there were some minor cleanliness issues, they immediately addressed them as soon as I asked with a very kind and apologetic attitude. The breakfast was simple and lovely and made fresh every day. The people we met while staying there were very interesting. For the price you cannot beat the view and the company!

This hotel has an excellent location. Loma Tranquila has the best view of the city from this beautiful mountain just minutes from Alajuela. We had the most wonderful time. The owner was an absolute delight — friendly, helpful, and made us feel like family from the moment we arrived . That personal touch is what sets this place apart from anywhere else we’ve stayed. The rooms were immaculate — fresh, tidy, and well-appointed. It’s clear that a lot of care and pride goes into maintaining this property. And the views were simply stunning. We found ourselves just stopping and taking it all in at every opportunity. To top it all off, breakfast was included and absolutely delicious — homemade and the perfect way to start each morning. You could taste the love and effort that went into every dish. It’s the kind of breakfast that keeps you talking about it long after you’ve checked out! I really enjoyed my time here — it was very relaxing. The most important part for me was that my flight got canceled twice because of the weather, so I missed the original days I had booked. When I spoke with the owner, she was accommodating and allowed me to stay the missed days later to make up for it. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. I felt safe the entire time and truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend it.

THERE IS NO SHUTTLE AND THE POOL WASN'T WORKING WHEN I ARRIVED. IT SEEMED TO BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION. THE PLACE WAS TOTALLY UNDERSTAFFED (THERE WAS NO ONE IN THE OFFICE) SO I HAD TO WAIT TWO HOURS FOR THE OWNER TO ARRIVE FOR CHECK-IN. BUT ALL THAT BEING SAID, THE OWNER IS AMAZING AND REALLY GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND DESPITE HER LACK OF ASSISTANCE. I WOULD ACTUALLY STAY HERE AGAIN , ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS RUNNING NORMALLY. THE ROOMS ARE REALLY BIG AND ITS A GREAT DEAL AT THIS PRICE FOR COUPLES/FAMILIES!

I will gladly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stay over near the capitol. Rosia the proprietress couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. When my original flight was cancelled she had no hesitation whatsoever in moving the reservation over to my new arrival date. She was also helpful with arranging my visit to LaPaz, which was magnificent. The restaurant she recommended, ‘Mirror Of The Valley’, within walking distance, was also wonderful. If I could give her (and her daughters) 10 stars I would gladly do so. Frankly I’m hopeful that the occasion presents itself that I could stay with them again … I would not hesitate for a second. So my ‘sombrero’ is off to Loma Tranquilla and wish them great success in the years to come! Muchas gracias!
