Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in San Isidro?

The best areas to stay in San Isidro are typically around the town centre or near popular natural attractions for convenience and access. For travellers prioritising easy access to local amenities and a central base, staying near the San Isidro Municipal Hall or the main public market is ideal. This area is the heart of the town, where you'll find most of the local eateries, shops, and transport links. It's a practical choice for those who want to experience daily life in San Isidro and have everything within reach.Couples looking for a more relaxed and scenic experience might prefer accommodation closer to the rice terraces or waterfalls. While these might be a short drive or walk from the town centre, they offer a tranquil setting with stunning views.

When is the best time to go to San Isidro?

The best time to visit San Isidro is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to May.During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and generally sunnier days, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities. The weather is usually pleasant, with comfortable temperatures, superb for hiking, visiting rice terraces, or simply enjoying the scenery. For those who prefer slightly cooler temperatures and don't mind the occasional shower, the shoulder months of November and May can be particularly appealing. The landscapes are often at their most lush after the rainy season, and there are usually fewer crowds compared to the peak dry season months.Conversely, the rainy season from June to October brings heavier rainfall, which can sometimes lead to disruptions in travel plans due to muddy roads or increased chances of typhoons.
