Thank you very much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the villa and big outside pool and space and being close to the local bars, restaurants and beach. I decided to add meters to the 4 aircon units due to the massive bills that I started to receive from the villa. When my pool man was cleaning the pool guests were all outside with the door open and all the aircon units were on full. Instead of putting the price up to What VBRO recommended I left the price lower but put meters on the air con units. The units take one and two euro coins and are set at the lowest rate, its just to keep control of the usage.

Thank you for your review. We have never had comments of either of those things. I know i am happy with the comfort of the beds, but it is to everybodys taste. I will order a dishwasher and have it fitted straight away. Thank you for the feedback.

I wish you had raised any issues during the time of your stay as that would have allowed me the opportunity to organise our housekeeper to assist you in solving any issues you had. Thank you for your review, Kay our housekeeper will always give you a lift to the beach which is only 5/ 10 mins drive, she charges 5 euros. There is other taxis localy you can use that pick you up from your house, there numbers are on the information on the Home and Away details, or i can give you their numbers. But they do need to be booked. The Italian your talking about is nice, but there is a nicer one closer near the newsagent on the otherside to the supermarket, just down a bit. In that row of restaurants there is also Teo Pepe's which has lovely views and around the back of there there is a great restaurant Dick And Dorf. Also there is loads of restaurants behind the Italian, The grill house, A lovely French restaurant, Camillos a great Spanish restaurant( great for steak). Mahal a great indian(go on the set menu) you can have what you want so cheap. Out of season there is a lot of retirees in season it brings a younger wave of holidaymakers. If you go into the old town of La Marina it has the real spanish feel with the bakery and the spanish tapas bars, but this is a further walk. I recommend booking Kay our housekeeper or Lynn who has the mini bus(details on the Home and Away site) to take you into Alicante for the day or evening during your holiday. also its worth considering a car which is so cheap to rent at 60-80 euros a week, then you can explore loads around the area. it depends what you want from the holiday.

I am pleased that you liked the villa and that Lynne was helpful. Indeed, the villa is situated on a Private estate which is a perfect environment for total relaxation, in a separate area in La Marina where all the larger properties are. However, I must point out that the description which is given in regard to the distance from the restaurants and amenities is quite correct and yours is the first complaint. Most of our regulars don’t even bother to hire a car any more as they know they can walk, with ease, to our many local bars and restaurants. For those who wish to explore venues further afield, I’ve not had any detrimental comments should they wish to travel by taxi, that none were available. There are plenty operating in the area. I will make a point of leaving additional telephone numbers for taxi hire for future guests. Kay that looks after the villa is always happy to give guests lifts anywhere in the area also. I recommend on my listing to hire a car as I like to explore and it is so cheap and easy, I personally always do this. As far as keeping the villa cool is concerned, there are ceiling fans which create an excellent air flow, electric floor fans and if required, there are also air conditioning units installed. Many guests find they can cool the rooms without even needing to turn on the air conditioning. However, I recently decided to have a meter installed for the air con units as there were some occasions when people would go out and leave them running all day which obviously made the electricity bills unsustainable. Since having these meters fitted, one Euro allows you approximately 2/3 hours continuous use which I don’t believe to be classed as expensive. In the really hot months of summer I put it on for 20 mins before I go to bed to cool the area down then leave a fan on low. I always take on board helpful comments made, and am constantly striving to make sure my guests go home feeling happy, relaxed and keen to come back. I hope overall your stay was an enjoyable one.

I am glad my villa was clean and tidy. unfortunately i do not know of any villa with a heated out door pool, it is usually used to have a swim and cool you down. Thank you for letting me know about the shower cubical, i was not aware of it leaking, it is only 6 months old, you should of messaged me and i would have called the installers to come around and fix it. It clearly says on the website that there is air con in the lounge and the main bedroom, the second bedroom has a ceiling fan above the bed, and all the bedrooms have fans. The town is 10/15 mins walk, i prefer a car but lots of guests prefer to walk. I always try and make sure everything is perfect at the villa it would have been nice if you just text me or told my housekeeper we would have corrected the issues.

I was extremely disappointed to read that you were not impressed with the cleanliness of the villa and feel more heartened having just spoken to you on the phone to find out more about your specific concerns. I understand you saw finger prints on some kitchen cupboards and that the utility room freezer had mould in it and smelt. After our holiday-makers vacate, the cleaners come in within a period of two hours to check that everything is in good order and then clean from top to bottom most thoroughly. Our experience has shown over the years that no one uses the freezer in the utility room which is why it has recently been closed up ready to be disposed of. This is the reason it was switched off. However, I have since decided it may be advantageous to re-instate this freezer as we do have some people who wish to rent for a few weeks in which case a larger freezer would be advantageous. Therefore, please rest assured, the freezer will be either replaced or thoroughly cleaned and sterilised. We take pride in the fact that we present our holiday villa in the best possible condition and its cleanliness is of the upmost importance to us which is why we instruct our cleaners on a regular basis as to any areas that need particular attention. May I refer you to a personal letter that I received from Mrs. Mawer from Hertfordshire who stayed at the villa a short time before you did: On arrival we were delighted by the clean smell of the place! All rooms were immaculate! The kitchen was pristine, all cupboards were clean and fresh, all the cutlery and crockery were gleaming, the washing machine looked new, the bathroom and shower room were also sparkling and clean. All bedrooms were clean and dust free, including under all the beds. I suffer with a dust allergy so always check to see if there is any offending dust which I may need to remove with a damp cloth. This was most certainly not the case in this villa. I would not hesitate to recommend staying in this beautiful place. It has everything anyone could possibly need and is of the highest standard. The air conditioning system was a wonderful bonus too as it was incredibly hot for the entire two weeks we stayed there. I can’t wait to go back again next year!! I do hope you will be happy to come again. We continuously strive to please anyone who comes to stay and seriously value their comments, opinions and any ideas they may have to make their stay enjoyable.
