The room and bathrooms were extremely clean. The area was extremely quiet except for after the food truck evening when the city washed the sidewalks. Even though it was a shared bathroom we only had to wait for a shower once out of 3 days. there were two toilet rooms and two shower/toilet rooms. I really appreciated a sink mirror corner in the room. Definitely would stay again. And where else can you get a room in San Francisco for $80 at night.

It was so cold I couldn't sleep at night and there was no way to turn up the head in the room. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean for it being a shared bathroom between floors.

Suspicious Stains and an Awful Smell
I checked into my hotel room via the OpenKey app. I received a text the room was ready at 11:57. I arrived to the hotel around 1 pm. I called support at 1:09PM as I struggled with the app. When I entered the room, the smell was horrible. And there were white stains all over the bed quilt. I opened the windows that did not have screens to let in fresh air, then went to lunch. I arrived back around 3PM and stayed in the still stinky room until 5PM. I left around 5PM and returned at 11PM. I had left the windows open again, but the smell was still so strong. I checked out via OpenKey app around 11:30. I did not spend the night. I am regulating a refund due to the stains on the bed, the horrible smell, and not even staying the night.

Good budget option - shared bathroom
For a budget guesthouse this was quite good. You get what you pay for. I never had to wait for the shared bathroom facilities and they were clean. My room had a sink who was handy but my friend didn’t so try and ask for that. A little noisy as I was facing the street and the windows are loose. But the room is clean and well appointed. Security can be tricky with codes and apps for entry but once you get the swing of it, you should be fine. A great location. With plenty of dining options.

New visitors needs to be aware of this place is not a regular hotel/Inn, it's a complex apartment with only 2 bathrooms/toilets shared by over a dozen of rooms! Actual room doesn't match with the pictures! Disgusting odor after you entered the hallway and the room, the sheet, bed cover, pillow cover look like used for a long time and never been washed. The mattress also make sounds like it is ready to be wasted anytime. The streets are noisy and not safe to walk after dark! They have everything managed by a digital door lock and no one is there to help you with anything. In general, I would not recommend any visitors to stay in this place if you have little extra budget for lodging.

I did just want to respond to a few items. 1) Everything is not managed by a digital door lock....We manage the property with the Openkey system.......just as Hilton hotels use it at 1000 of their properties and is offered at 1800 Marriot hotels. It allows us to check if you connected to the key & if you got in your room. Also, the telephone number provided to you, to call or text, for any issues....is answered by someone either in a building, around the corner or perhaps 3 blocks away but very available..2) You said that the streets are not safe to walk after dark? Time Out Magazine just rated Hayes Street #10 out of top 33 coolest streets in the world.With amazing food, shopping and central convenience to getting around...it is one of the most sought out neighborhoods in San Francisco to live in.Finally #3), Most guests who do stay at the Annex are on a budget....but that does not mean you had dirty sheets on your bed. Our room space was fine, but the street noise (garbage trucks, sirens, racing cars, shouting, etc.) woke us up at least every hour throughout the night. If you stay here, request a room away from the street. We moved to a room in the middle of the hallway, and slept without interruption.

I loved the room that I stayed in, it was very petite and fulfilled it's role, which was just a nice place to stay.It was quiet during the nighttime hours, and I felt completely safe my whole time there. The bathroom is shared, but I didn't really have a problem.I never really ran into anyone when I had to go, and the bathroom was kept clean the whole time.There are also many places nearby to shop, and done at! This place really felt like a gem.

I don't used the locations, they don't have any people to assist in the place, provide all information by phone and never answer the phone customer. The mattress smell very bat, the picture on the website is totally different that how look the place and the location is under construction they never provide the complete information about how is the access to the building. in other words I am very dissatisfied about the place and services on this Hostel.

This hotel provides a clean, comfortable space at a good price. In addition to the room, each floor has a shared bathroom and a generous-sized kitchen with large refrigerator, microwave, utensils and plates, and an eating area. These facilities are shared among four rooms. I never saw the other guests in these facilities. There was a bit of confusion getting the initial entry key to the room, but the remote hotel staff is available 24x7, and solved the problem expeditiously.

1. 無櫃台住宿，完全無人化管理，並使用電子鎖APP，使用上要小心。我是非本國籍入住，完全無法使用APP開房鎖，最後還要打電話請人來開鎖，並在日後的入住，只能用實體KEY開鎖。 2. 入住後，無論寫MAIL或TEXT，都無人回應，此點希望改進。 3. 有自助洗衣設施，但沒有說明費用。在此提醒，洗衣及烘乾都是 US$2.00，需要 8 個 $0.25 的硬幣，沒有自動換幣機喔 4. 有提供公用廚房，但並不是每天來清理垃圾喔。 5. 毛巾及盥洗用具，並不是每天補給。如果長時間住宿的話，需自行向打掃人員索取 (如果碰的到的話)
