Excellent service & very comfortable!

Posted 28-Mar-2017
Pros: Everything, no complaints.
Cons: Perfect!
Location: Excellent location! Everything you need is in walking distance.
I have been coming to San Francisco to UCSF since 2013. We had not found the most affordable & comfortable hotel until the Chancellor. We stayed here Sunday night March 27th for the first time. The staff was wonderful, hotel room was very clean and updated nicely. Beds were comfortable and given my health situation the thick blanketing helped. I have never stayed in a hotel with thick blankets, always thin and not very cozy. We had a room on a busy street, however the noise was not at all a bother and we could barely hear it. Union Square is across the road and shopping all around, everything you need. My Dr. appointment was on Berry St in the China Basin area across from the AT&T Ballpark, it only took 10 minutes to get there which was very helpful. We will return again in then next 4 months and there after. We recommend this hotel to anyone & thank the staff for their great customer service!!

Close to Union Square

Perfect for our overnight stay. Cable car stop right in front of hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants. Room was small but the bed was comfy. Staff were super helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay again.

Staff was really nice and helpful. The trolley is right outside the hotel, parking around the corner. Shopping for days.

Great location

Pros: Location, close to everything and Cable Car outside the door.
Cons: More space in room with twin beds.
Location: Easy access to Cable Car to tour from Market Street to Fisherman's Wharf.
Our stay was great. Staff were very helpful. You step out your hotel door and you can catch the Cable Car. It was a great experience. Beds very comfortable, you even had a pillow menu for you too choose a pillow for a good night sleep. Only thing is our room was small and tight to maneuver around the single beds. Other than that I would return and recommend.

Convenient location

Nice hotel conveniently located. Nice little touch: coffee/tea/cookies/fruit/drink at lobby. Cosy & warm. Comfortable bed. Small room but okay for me. Lacking toiletries such as tootbrush/shower cap. Overall - enjoyed stay.

Pleasant stay at the hotel

Posted 20-Mar-2017
The experience was good with the hotel and staff. When informed that it's my honeymoon, they arranged for a bottle of sparkling white wine for us in the room. Right smack in the middle of union square - does help a lot especially if you r a shopaholic. Front Desk and Conceige are very helpful too. The only setback would be the bed - not too comfortable and causing me backaches after 6 days stay but I trust we can't ask for much when it is a 3 star hotel.

Nice hotel. Close to union square and the trolley

Posted 19-Mar-2017
Pros: Hotel is older, but has been updated. Very nicely updated room. Excellent bed and pillows.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location is excellent . Shopping is all around you. Trolley runs by in front of hotel. About 6 blocks from China Town.
Very friendly staff. Make you feel right at home. The hotel is right in the centre of everything. They have coffee ,tea and cookies available 24 /7. Just a few blocks from China Town. We enjoyed our visit there, and purchased several special gifts. The staff in china town were very friendly. We enjoyed riding on the trolley down to the Fishermans wharf. The hotel was excellent for the price we paid. Yes, we would stay there again.

Good location

Love the location and boutique feel. Rooms are very small. Great restaurant on the property for breakfast and lunch. On this last trip we had trouble with the TV. Not working properly and we had to call manintence as it wouldn't shut off.

Great hotel at Union Square.

Comfortable, quiet rooms. Many excellent hotels in the area are gone now, but the Chancellor survives - long may it thrive!
