Being out of town for 31.5 km, this nice place has beatiful sunrises and at nights you can observe the stars...has a peaceful nature site and you can feel it the air...sounds and smell of the surrounding plants and animals. Is nice, a little higer in price after you add the cost for service, but is enjoyable. I would be back as soon as we can...we were 3 and the place is for 7, so next time we can split the cost and enjoy.

Villa at Campo Baja Beach Resort in 2024
We spent 6 weeks here from mid 2024-01 to end 2024-02. Pros: Many (a) Beautiful, quiet location (other than surf, wind and the occasional dune buggy) (b) House nice and comfortable, including beds. (c) Was concerned about off-grid electricity, but had no problem. Solar panels and batteries powered a small fridge, all lights, internet and my computer with no issues. There is a back-up propane electrical generator but we did not use. (d) Service attendant Alfredo was attentive re filling water cisterns, emptying garbage frequently, ensuring house propane tank for stove and fireplace was filled, etc. (e) Neighbours to north are super friendly, and provided suggestions re local restaurants, and weekly (Wednesday) gent who sells veggies (about 6 km away) (f) Town of San Felipe has large super market that has most things one needs. Cons: Not much other than: (1) Fridge is small, but we found OK (2) No clothes washer/dryer. We went into town once to a laundry. (3) No enclosed yard for small dogs, but neighbours said coyotes are really rare on beach. (4) Sand blows onto porch, and tracks into house. So get used to that 'gritty feeling' under your feet. (5) No TV, but we used internet to watch a couple of movies on my PC. n short, a very nice house and location. Overall, a great place, and safe/secure.

Most relaxing Thanksgiving Vaca.
The views from this place, from the sunrise in the morning over the water to the gourgous sunsets over the desert in the evening from the balcony are priceless. The Home is set up for a big family, we bbq in the evening overlooking the tides. The house has alot of seating, many couches and chairs throughout. As long as you respect the electricity usage, turn off lights in rooms you're not using, we never had a problem with electricity. Never had to use the generator. Same with showers (water) had plenty of water left over after 6 days. Took the kayak out in the morning for some excellent views from the water, ran I to some seals, and dolphins. We'll definitely be back.

Best beach house ever!
The property is in excellent condition. It's very roomy with 2 full bed/baths and a 3rd bedroom/loft upstairs. The kitchen is huge with everything you'll need. The fridge could be a little larger but still adequate. the covered patio facing the beach is huge and has plenty of chairs. The beach is mostly quiet with n occasional ATV/buggy going by. We rode ours all the way to Puertocitos, 30 miles away and had hot dogs and beer at Cowpaddys! The property is in a locked, gated community. There is a good restaurant, Anicetos, about 2 miles south on Mex 5. We did our major shopping at the Calimax in San Felipe but there is a small market near Anicetos. The only minor issue that we experienced is that the shower water pressure is weak and the bathroom sinks are very high. My wife is only 5ft tall and had a hard time. Otherwise, this house is wonderful. They have 2 properties in the community and we've stayed at both and will be back. Highly recommended. Enjoy!!

Great time at Joe’s place.
We stayed here for almost 2 months through Dec and January. We had a wonderful stay. Huge house, right on the beach with incredible sunrises and sunsets. You can walk the beach for miles in either direction, and its fun wandering through the tidal pools at low tide. Although its an off the grid house, we had no issues with power and water….You just can’t take those 20 minute showers. The bed was incredibly comfortable. (I was considering stuffing it in the van and taking it back to Canada!). The wifi works great, and is plenty fast. There’s no TV at the house; we bought a small one with us and used that in the evenings. I would highly recommend this property. Andy and Wendy Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

We appreciated the setting of the house much more than the house itself. It is right on the beach and the sunrises were amazing. The house itself is shabby, the kitchen not well equiped, and even though we were super careful with windows and doors, infested with flies. The beds need to be replaced. The kayaks were great but most days it was way too windy to be on the water. The neighbors were great and shared with us lots of info about the area. It would have been nice if the owner had shared it in the welcome manual. The information provided there was out-of- date.

Amazing house in a great location!
We just got home from our week long stay and we had the most amazing time! We love that the house is eco-friendly and off grid. Power management is a must so you don't have to use the generator much, but we quickly figured out how to manage it and never needed to change the propane tank. The house is beautiful adobe brick and the patio is amazing! You can't beat the location! The beach is pristine and was not busy at all! we practically had it to ourselves! The neighbors were very friendly and we enjoyed spending time with their sweet dogs! We love this location and plan to come back again as soon as possible!

unforgettable 31st anniversary trip
We loved the place, very clean, well stocked with everything we needed, safe and secure. Loved waking up to see the sunrise on the beach from the hammock on the porch. During our stay, we had the entire beach to ourselves. The caretakers went out of their way to assist us, even meeting us on the road to help us find the place. Communication with owner was great, all issues were taken care immediately. Just a side note, house uses solar panels and requires a gas generator when power is out. Also has no a/c, so be sure to go end of September or October. We will definitely be back next year

July family vacation
If you are looking for beauty and solitude this is perfect. We enjoyed the beach to ourselves for 4 days. Their is an abundance of seashells to collect and the water is warm. The house is gorgeous, clean and comfortably accommodated my family of 5 and our dog. The home has everything you need just grab clothes and food. You do have to remember that their is no AC and it can be quite muggy and hot in July. Ocean breeze and lots of swimming make this much more comfortable. The power was a little spotty do to generator issue but a back up propane generator helped. Thanks for sharing your home we hope to return in the future…

Amazing extended weekend trip
This property was beautiful. The location is amazing: quiet, clear warm waters, house is right on the beach. My kids enjoyed swimming in the ocean and the gentle waves were a comfort. We saw baby grunions in the warm waters at night. Amazing experience.

Best Beach Location
We love this house in particularly due to it's round shape and old brick charm. Very nice on the inside as well. We had a family of four and our two dogs and it was huge, for a beach house. It has a second living room off the kitchen and it's much cooler in there in the day. They had all kinds of board games, cards, fuse ball table, and darts. There are several other couches and another table for dining if needed. There were two full bedrooms and a loft with beds. We were there in springtime and it gets a little hot up there but my teenager loved being away from us, so it worked out good. Overall, know the house is lovely inside and out. Nothing is wrecked, all in good condition, even the toilets. It's a perfect beach view, you can walk straight down and play, or fish, and you can play music outdoes, ride dune buggies, a Polaris, or three and four wheelers on the beach. There is beach access on the side of this house but it stays quiet. Not a lot of people on the beach so not a lot of motor cars as well. Just very low key, fun, and all you need to vacation. LOVE IT HERE! We didn't want to go.

We have stayed here before and we love it. We come back because the owner is always improving and making this great property even better. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The house is large and comfortable. No crowds, the beach is yours for as long as you want. The new security gate adds to the feeling of safety that we like. The neighborhood is also great everyone is super nice and helpful. We drove at night for the first time and since reviews are a way to improve ... we suggest a small floodlight pointed at the sign😉. Thanks Joe for sharing such a beautiful place with us. Looking forward to a second visit this year.

I loved the view to the ocean when you wake up in the morning and when you're in the kitchen cooking. The community is very private and my kids enjoyed the water all to themselves and some wild life! On the other hand, the beds upstairs are really hard to sleep on and almost every door to house doesn't lock and or is troubling to open. Kitchen pans need to be updated, very old. Overall, we had a good time here away from the same routine though!!!!!!!

Amazing beach getaway
We were looking for a relaxing, beachfront getaway for the holidays and were not disappointed in the least. The house was clean and comfortable, and the beach was beautiful. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves, which was great for our dog to tire herself out running all over the place, the few neighbors we met were very friendly. We did our grocery shopping at the calimex in San Felipe, but were able to re-stock on avocados at the little store down the road from the property. The property feels a little like it is in the middle of nowhere, but with Joe’s instructions it was pretty easy to find, and one you’re there it’s actually a pretty good size gated community. The road conditions really weren’t too bad, despite what I read online, but we were glad we did our driving during the day time. We’re already planning our next trip!

Awesome Beach House!
My family and some friends stayed here on the 4th of July Weekend. The house is exactly how the pictures look, but the pictures don't give it justice to the beautiful private beach, the super quite neighborhood, the overall awesome experience of a what a true beach house should be. the water is warm, we saw some sting rays while kayaking, did some night walks on the beach one night it was 10pm and we were still in the water. This place is truly amazing and we will be back.

Best. Getaway. Ever.
The pictures don't even begin to portray how beautiful this home and the surrounding area actually is. We woke up everyday to watch the sunrise from the front patio with a cup of coffee. We played on the beach, took long walks, swam, kayaked, paddle boarded and floated in the sea on the foam noodles. The temperature of the water was perfect! The patio was so large there was room for everyone to do their own thing and be in the shade or sun as they desired. We sat on the back deck a couple times and watched the sunset over the mountains of the dessert; simply breathtaking. Two of our daughters and son-in-law stayed with us for the first week. We took one of the master suites, daughter and son took the other and our second daughter ended up sleeping on the futon as the loft was a little warm for her. We had friends of ours stay the second week and they thoroughly enjoyed everything as well. We had the local caretaker freshen up their room and bathroom before their arrival for a small fee which was much appreciated. Everyone was pleased with their sleeping accommodations. Sheets were especially soft. Bedrooms had plenty of closet and drawer space. Bathrooms were well equipped with soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, toilet tissue and even bathroom spray; there was also a first aid kit. Owners provided water containers to hold purified water for brushing teeth which was so thoughtful. Showers had descent water pressure. We had wonderful interactions with Alfredo and Manuel and they were extremely helpful. We had the water tanks filled half way through our stay for a small fee. We had no issues with the solar power and it was no different then using conventional electricity on our part. Joe called us personally to check on us; we were doing fantastic! The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. The home has two large french presses so plenty of coffee for everyone. We had wonderful meals cooked on the propane barbecue; fresh shrimp was in season and that was amazing. We bought most of our food from the store in San Felipe, Calimax, which had which had nearly everything we wanted The kids enjoyed foosball tournaments in the game room and there were books to read. The WiFi worked great. The small community just south had 3 great restaurants. We went into San Felipe often to eat and shop.The people of San Felipe were so nice and helpful. Thank you to the Raventos family for opening up there home to us. We will always cherish our time here.

San Felipe Spring Holiday
What an amazing home perfectly situated on the beaches of Baja. The house is just as charming as illustrated on the photos. Very spacious and beach views throughout. The family had a wonderful time lounging on the beach or catching fresh fish of the shore. The kayaks and paddle boards really helped take things to the next level. Weather was amazing and sunrises unforgettable. Memories to last a life time. Great host. Thank you.

Great relaxing place
First, the place is spacious and well appointed, including the kitchen (everything you would need and in great shape)! Couldn’t ask for anything more. It’s situated right on the beach that was practically empty, with miles to walk in both directions, and comfortable seating for shade and sun to watch the marine life that come close to the shore. The travel directions given to visitors were the clearest and easiest I’ve ever received. Thank you. Second, Joe, the owner, is so very responsive. He sorted out a couple of “hiccups” with his property workers immediately....very appreciated since we don’t speak Spanish to explain the problems directly to the workers.

We are driving home from this VRBO and figuring when we can return ! Clean house, great location. The neighbors (owners of other casas in this campo) we’re friendly. Beach is sandy (some Campos are rocky or on a bluff). Property caretakers had everything tidy and ready for our stay. We stayed one week.

Peaceful beach beauty
The home was just as advertised... Right on the ever-changing Sea of Cortez. A great beach for walking, shell collecting, swimming (a little chilly in January but still swimable), paddle boarding, kayaking and just watching the sea and desert! Be sure to bring your binoculars!! It is a full half hour south of San Felipe, so don’t expect to head there for nighttime fun. Perfect for a family group who can entertain themselves or anyone that wants peace and quiet. Thankfully, just three miles away, there are two very good restaurants & a store that had everything we needed for our month-long stay except meat/seafood, so you’ll want to stop in San Felipe for the super fresh fish & shrimp. We enjoyed our cocktails watching brilliant sunsets, coffee with gorgeous sunrises. It is a daytime place for sure, although the star gazing was great too. As for the house itself, water is pickup-trucked in by the friendly caretaker Alfredo and it has off-grid solar. Thus, it is glorified glamping with very comfortable beds, hot showers and a lovely fully functioning kitchen. Joe and Alfredo were very kind, responsive and accommodating! A whole month and the only complaint we can think of is the knives needed sharpening 😆

We had a great stay in San Felipe. Home was perfect and clean. We enjoyed the kayaks and stand up boards and patio furniture. Beds were comfortable. I only wish there was an oven and a microwave. Otherwise we were very comfortable!

Wow! Absolutely amazing
The house views are amazing. It’s right on the beach. Great directions from Joe as to how to get to Felipe and house directions. Paddle boarded everyday. Weather was perfect. Alfredo the caretaker was very nice. I would highly recommend it. Will be back. Perfect getaway vacation.

Beautiful location. A lovely experience.
Our week here flew by! We had an amazing time and the house was adequately equipped. The view was amazing and I was able to bird watch from the porch. I was also able To see the kids playing in the water From any room in the house. Amazing! It was great to explore the tide pools and we even had the incredible experience of freeing a dolphin trapped in a ghost net near shore. (Sad he was trapped, glad we could free him!) Aside from the heat (I think our week just happened to be the hottest week of the year?), this was a perfect vacation and we will definitely be back (just not in July, hah)! The caretakers were Very helpful and Joe (the owner) was very responsive. My children were taking about “the next time we come” the entire trip. Thanks for everything!

Exactly what we wanted, and then some
We really enjoyed our stay in Joe's beach house. The location is hard to beat - very secluded and yet feels safe and secure. We walked the beach for miles and would only occasionally see other people jogging or playing with kids or their dogs (this is a very dog friendly place, our corgi dog took to the house immediately with no stress at all). There were a couple of surprises at the house of a good variety - I won't reveal them, but they were all good. There is a village a mile or so south with a store and two little very low key restaurants. I think there is a couple of restaurants a couple of miles north as well, but we did not go there. Mostly we ate at home (which included fish and clams that we did not buy at any store). All in all we hope the house is going to be available next April as we're going to try to book it again.

On our first trip there was no WiFi available now there is which is a great add on to the property! Me and my family had a blast using the kayaks to paddle on the beach. Off-grid beach BLISS
If you need a restful, rejuvenating, and blissful vacation, free from stressful crowds and chaos, then this is the place to go. This home is situated on a beautiful bay in the northern Sea of Cortez with a wide sandy beach that’s almost deserted. The home is truly off-grid, and solar powered. We really enjoyed our quiet candlelit evenings, going to sleep each night and waking each morning to the sound of the surf. One of the most relaxing and restorative vacations ever. Highly recommend.
