A lot of thought and hard work went into the design and interior spaces for this hotel - it’s very thoughtful, modern, and bright. The restaurant on site is great and has delicious healthy options as well as excellent local coffee. Unfortunately those two things are the only positives I saw during our stay.
We reserved a patio room thinking we’d have a little space outside for relaxing. We assumed wrong and I wish they would have described this room better or had better photos. The “patio” is a small square of concrete with no furniture for guests… what’s the point? It opens directly into their courtyard where their restaurant is and where other guests can come and come. There is furniture out there so guests can be sitting feet away from your room which feels a bit too close for my comfort, especially when there isn’t any privacy on the “patio.” Additionally, they play loud music in the courtyard, seemingly sporadically, until
9pm. This makes it difficult to rest, nap, or relax really. Again, I really wish they’d described this room type better, and that they’d warned me about the music.
This is a small hotel and they had no room service, no housekeeping on staff in the evening (I needed extra pillows and the front desk people had to go “find” some…), and no faculties staff on site (our shower was very slow to drain).
The next main problem I have is with the staff/service. They were not friendly and the vibe I got was that we were bothering them.
