Sweet Sunset Studio Charming Condo

  • Discover the charm of Mission Beach in this upper-level studio vacation rental just steps from the boardwalk! Head straight to the beach or cruise the boardwalk and experience why this iconic neighborhood is loved by locals. The main living/sleeping area and 1 full bathroom with a shower. The open-concept space includes a fully equipped kitchen, a TV with streaming capability, and WiFi for your convenience. Step outside to your private deck or relax in the shared garden patio with a gas grill. Beach essentials such as chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels are also provided. Additional conveniences include a coin-operated laundry on-site. Please note there is no A/C, but fans and heaters are provided for comfort year-round. There is no designated parking space, though street parking may be available (not guaranteed, especially in summer; please observe street sweeping 8–10 am). Quiet hours are 10 pm–8 am, and no smoking or pets are allowed.

    You are booking with Casago San Diego, a professional local property management company. We require guests to complete our own “Vacation Rental Agreement” after they've made their booking. We do this to ensure quality and consistency for our guests and our homeowners.

It is very close to the beach as described which is great. The building however is a four-plex so there are two units upstairs. While the balcony appears private it is not unless the other upstairs is vacant. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs because any conversation or music in the other unit is completely heard even with the windows closed. Also if they are smoking in the other unit it finds its way in as well. You will want the windows open for cooler air in the evenings and again earplugs for us light sleepers. My wife had no trouble sleeping and enjoyed the sound of the waves.

Pro's: slight ocean view, clean, has all the necessities, beach toys and umbrella available, great wifi. Con's: only the ceiling fan was in the apartment and it does get toasty starting around 10am, no AC means the windows stay open all the time and you get to hear everything in the neighborhood, don't stay here if you don't like parking several blocks away if you can find a spot at all, only flat sheets and comforter on the bed, no fitted sheet so you end up on the mattress protector and no other blanket options, several things about the property were not the same as the pictures represented (i.e. the bedding, lamps, extra fan), the shower curtain liner was dirty, and the shower head needs to be replaced. Not a great place if you want a quiet vacation and not super private since the windows have to stay open.

It's very convenient to everything food stores grocery stores bars restaurants and so close to the beach there's no place to park however I definitely wouldn't even need to rent a car in which we didn't because of the location

Perfect location

This is a cute little spot so close to the ocean you can hear it. And is an easy walk to everything at Belmont Park! The only thing to be aware of is the platform bed really is on stilts like in the picture so you need some physical ability to get up there, but there is also a futon if you can’t climb. The bed is comfortable and I would absolutely stay here again!

This place was perfect for the 2 of us, little anniversary staycation from East County. Half block to the Mission Beach boardwalk, and walking distance to so many fun sights and places. The elevated bed is nice, can see the waves upon waking. Bathtub drains slow, but likely a quick fix. Clean linens, simple studio, will book again!!

I stayed here with my 2 daughters. It was small but very cozy. The only issue we had was the other unit upstairs felt that they could take over the table outside because they were there before us. I didn’t realize it was shared but either way it was still worth every bit of it. The beach is steps away!

The location was great. The lack of parking and city parking laws stressed me out. Overall, I am glad we got a place so close to the beach and so near amenities, but the beds were uncomfortable and hard to access (futon doesn't fold and unfold properly and the bed on stilts needs a stool or ladder) and the kitchen had ants. Still, awesome location.
