MAIN LEVEL As you step into this modern urban retreat, you'll be greeted by floor to ceiling windows & soaring ceilings. The living room features a plush sleeper sofa & SMART TV. The open floor plan is seamless as you can see the dining area for 4, and the fully stocked kitchen features high end matte black appliances. Just off the kitchen is the back deck. Rounding out this space is a half bath. TOP LEVEL From the main living area, go up the stairs to the primary bedroom area complete with a Queen bed, ensuite full bath (shower), walk in closet with washer/dryer, SMART TV, desk area & Juliet balcony. \*Note this is a loft area without a door and overlooks the living room. The location was 1 block from the water and 1 block away from all the shops and restaurants of Little italy. 1/2 block from train station to Oceanside and LAX if ya want. The bathrooms were clean and good facilities. The bed very comfortable. The location is excellent. A quick walk down to the waterfront and near so many great restaurants. The host made it very easy to check in and check out. The only small downside is that there are two wooden staircases that are very slick. We were traveling with our dog and she slid on the staircase and fell. I wish the stairs had a carpeted runner. It could be potentially dangerous. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed as a couple for a 4 night visit. With different floors, the space would be comfortable for 2 different couples or a family to share together without feeling like you are in close quarters. We enjoyed the homey atmosphere and truly felt like we were able to relax and put our feet up after days and nights out in the city. Being in a major downtown area we still felt safe, secure, and slept well each night. In every direction there are incredible restaurants and bars, as well as exercise studios and little shops. The bay is also a short distance away on foot. Ubers were easy to get and the airport is a quick 10 minute drive away, if that. If you do rent a car, there is a great garage space for the vehicle. Our time here was awesome and we are still talking about it a month later. We would not hesitate to stay here again on another visit to San Diego.
