Mermaid Crossing at Capri by the Sea - Panoramic Ocean View, Pool, Parking, Hot Tub & Rooftop Deck! Mermaid Crossing, on the 9th floor, is the most beautiful one bedroom/one bath condo in Capri by the Sea, the only oceanfront high rise building in the beach area! In May of 2020, we completed a 4 month remodel during the Coronavirus down-time. The remodel was coordinated by a talented designer and an equally talented father/son contractor team. We gutted the kitchen and put in new cabinets and quartz countertops with a "waterfall" effect spilling the quartz over the side of the counter. There are also all new stainless steel appliances. The bathroom has a new tub/shower combination with beautifully tiled walls, and a new cabinet with quartz top. Throughout the condo is all new Pergo-style "driftwood" flooring installed on the diagonal, mirrored walls, a rock wall with an electric "mood" fireplace that also provides heat on the South wall, a 65 inch TV, beautiful ceiling beams and a ceiling fan. The large convenient desk area easily pulls down and converts to a queen Murphy bed with a view. If you need additional sleeping space, we have provided an extremely comfortable new high end queen sofa bed. The bedroom also has a new top of the line king mattress, a 55 inch TV and ceiling fan. There are all new furnishings throughout. This condo features floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room to maximize the breathtaking views of the ocean, recently replaced with all glass railings for an uninterrupted view of the Pacific Ocean. You will love your stay in this conveniently located condo in the heart of Pacific Beach. It is within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops and just steps to the sun and sand! The kitchen is fully equipped for dining at home with seating for 5 and a spectacular ocean view. The condo sleeps 6 very comfortably or 3 guests in each single sleeping arrangement. NEED MORE ROOM? If you would like to travel with extended family or other families, we have three 1-bedrooms and three 2- bedrooms in this building; three in a row on the 9th floor, 909, 910 and 911 plus 1005 and 1010 right above them. Capri by the Sea offers every amenity you could want and need for your stay in San Diego. A single parking space is included with your reservation. The rooftop offers 360 views of Pacific Beach, with BBQ grills and picnic tables and lounge seating. A heated (80 degrees) pool and hot tub are located on the ground floor behind the Capri building and are accessible with your key fob. A washer and dryer (coin-operated) are located at the South end of the hallway just outside the condo. A trash and recycling chute is located on the North end. Your key fob gives access to that condo's floor, lobby, rooftop, garage and pool area. Check-in instructions sent via email will provide more details about how to obtain your keys/lock code and fobs. Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call! To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. It is so close to everything in San Diego but we found it hard to leave due to the views. There are so many tasty restaurants and coffee shops near by. The condo is exactly as described and the view is even better. Also a perk was the beach and boardwalk right outside the building. Could not have been more perfect. ##### Grace A. We had a 5 night stay and this property did not disappoint! The views were amazing and the perfect distance from downtown SD and La Jolla. The unit is fully equipped with everything you need, including beach gear. This is quite possibly the most comfortable bed I've had in a VRBO to date. What a GORGEOUS condo with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Beachfront location cannot be beat. We loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean waves. Convenient path made for easy beach access. Beds were so comfortable, we felt like we were laying on clouds after full days of sightseeing and sunbathing. Never expected a Murphy bed to be so soft and cozy!Kitchen was fully stocked, and open layout was perfect for our family. Heated pool and relaxing hot tub right around the corner open til 10pm! The location is wonderful; the view is extraordinary. We walked to great spots to eat and loved the dog-friendliness of the community.
