Street parking was plentiful, which was a huge plus. The host communicated well, making check-in and check-out smooth. The condo was easy to access and reasonably priced for the area. It’s also very spacious, with comfortable beds and couches, plenty of seating in the common areas, and great views of Balboa Park from the patios.The Not-So-Good: A significant number of floor tiles were ripped up or damaged, and many cabinets were unhinged or broken. The master bedroom’s patio door had no lock, which was a safety concern. The noise restrictions (50 decibels during the day, 45 in the evening) were unrealistic for a 6-bedroom condo that sleeps 15 people. Most bedroom and bathroom doors were hard to open/close and loud, ironically exceeding the noise limit. Outlets were inconveniently placed, making charging difficult.Overall, while the space, location, and comfort were great, maintenance issues and strict noise rules made it less ideal for a large group. The location is minutes from beaches, food, and nightlife. Everything about this house far exceeded our expectations. The beds were so incredibly comfortable that every single person raved about them. The only thing that could have been better is the lighting in the upstairs bathroom. The lights were pretty dim.
