Our property consists of two houses (1) a 3BR Chic House and (2) 6BR Bamboo Loft that is perfect for hosting large groups such as groups of friends, family reunions and corporate retreats. 14 Beds + 5 couches.
Pets are allowed, $40 cleaning fee.

The Space:
Until further notice, the policy prohibits: (1) Gatherings of more than 16 people without host approval - event fee and insurance might be required. Please provide details about your large gatherings. (2) All disruptive parties and events
6 bedroom Bamboo Loft + 3 bedroom Chic House. These 2 houses are on the same lot; private from each other or seamlessly connected by opening the gate.
Each house has fully equipped and functional kitchens in order to cook your favorite meals. Bamboo Loft has 4.5 bathrooms and 6 bedrooms with 12 beds (1 cal king, 3 queen, 3 full, 6 singles) + 4 couches which sleeps 16+ people. Chic House has 1.5 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms with 3 beds (1 king, 1 queen, 1 full) and a couch; as we only have 1.5 bathrooms, 8 guests max.
Each house has appealing outdoor lounge space for guests to fully enjoy the warm San Diego weather while barbecuing, listening to music and partying with friends old and new. We designed the entire property with guest entertainment and social experience in mind.
Both properties are in conjunction with each other but may be booked separately (see our other listings).
Guest Access:
Guests have access to all amenities in the 6BR Loft. Exterior amenities include patio with BBQ grill and 1 gated parking spaces access from rear alley. Additional street parking is available on 26th or Imperial. Please watch signs for street cleaning Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
You will also have access to a 2nd house, which is 3 bedrooms and includes a small sandy beach (not an actual beach, not on the ocean).
The Neighborhood:
Grant Hill & Logan Heights is a blend of historic homes and urban renewal. Our location on our street, Imperial Avenue, is hands-down the best vacation rental that hosts large groups who want to have fun. This area is also convenient to many of San Diego's most popular attractions, such as the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy and Mission Bay.
Getting Around:
Our property is ideal for groups of friends seeking to be near downtown, Coronado & Balboa Park. Guests can use taxi, Uber or Lyft services for a short ride to downtown San Diego for a relatively inexpensive rate. Our home is only one (1) block from the Red Trolley which drops guests off next to convention center (for all you COMIC-CON attendees!).
Other Things to Note:
Neighborhood is mostly commercial with a few residential houses on the street. Most people chilling around the street are neighbors. While they might appear "seedy" or "unwelcoming", most of persons passing by are local business owners and good people. As noted in reviews (please read), this is an urban area.
PARTIES & EVENTS: GoodLifeResorts is not accepting parties through Airbnb. Max guests on the Airbnb platform is 16. If you have more than 16 guests or want to host an event, other plant forms and sites will be able to handle such inquiries.
MUSIC: you are welcome to use our SONOS wifi speakers. Have fun! You are NOT welcome to bring outside amplified or live music without approval; we do not know the volume of your speakers and we want to respect any other rentals / neighbors nearby.
Security deposit is fully refunded to guests, provided no significant damage is found nor missing any items on property.
LATE CHECK-OUT: Please pay for late check-out if you wish to depart after 10am as we often have incoming guests on the same day. Good Life Resorts has the right to charge up to $200/hour for late check-out if guest have not received written approval by the property manager. After 2 hours, charges up to a full night can be charged for guests that have not departed the property. Good Life Resorts holds the responsibility to clean and prepare for incoming guests as well as departing guests; and therefore, we request departing guests to adhere to the required check-out times.

Great place to stay for a getaway weekend with food fun and music. Great host. Took care of all issues immediately. Property is well equipped to accommodate a large group and it’s a very quite place to rest after an evening in gaslamp.
Great place with tons of bedrooms and bathrooms. Gourmet kitchen and fun stuff for kids and adults (Foosball, dartboard, shuffleboard). This house has everything and just a short drive to gaslamp or attractions like seaworld. Only sketchy part is the neighborhood is a little iffy as there was a boarded up house a few houses down, but nothing happened to us or our cars. Would stay here again in a minute.
The house was great. We enjoyed it. I would have preferred some photos of the outside of the house and the neighborhood. The area is not the greatest.

Cold showers and radio silence
The property seemed great for our large group of 18 guys until the larger bamboo loft was without hot water for the entire weekend. Josh and his property manager were unable to fix it the entire weekend and thus we had to wash dishes and shower entirely with cold water. When I asked for a partial refund for the inconvenience I was met with silence and ghosting from both of them which is ridiculous considering that we paid ~$7500 for the property for a single weekend and did not have warm water the entire time.
To boot, the group prior to ours left the trash cans overflowing and trash day was not until the Tuesday after our stay. Josh told me on Friday morning that they would swing by to pick up the excess trash but failed to stick to his word and we were stuck piling trash on top of the already overflowing bins.
It was frankly one of the worst host experiences that I've had across any booking platform. The silver lining being that we generally enjoyed the property and the location but had a sour taste from missing basic amenities like hot water, the poor communication, and broken promises from the host.
