Comfortable and silent, it can be reached by a comfortable asphalted municipal road just 2 km away from the hamlet of Calvari below, where there are shops, banks, post office, restaurants and pizzerias. The apartment is located on the top floor of the house and can accommodate 4/6 people. We rent for minimum stays of 7 days; for a number of guests less than 4 and for periods of less than one week of stay we reserve the confirmation of availability (see section Rates & Availability / Notes). The rooms are two, both with double bed, large and bright and a sofa bed is available for two other guests. Lots of equipped outdoor space, all around the house. The kitchen is large and equipped, The bathroom has a shower and washing machine, a large table, television and comfortable sofa in the dining / living room. A third bedroom is under construction and will be available shortly. Excellent and free WiFi connection. Private covered parking space reserved for guests. It is an excellent base for various excursions: 15 km from the most beautiful beaches of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante and close to the splendid seaside towns of Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Camogli, Sestri Levante and the magnificent 5 Terre. Genoa provincial capital, can be easily reached both by car and by bus. Paths start from Casa Lesina to Mount Ramaceto, the Aveto Park, the Agoraie Nature Reserve and connect to the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri. For walkers there are trekking possibilities for all needs as well as for mountain bike cyclists who can choose between routes of varying difficulty on the paths of the hills and the easier route of the "Ardesia Cycle Route" which unfolds flat along the banks of the Lavagna stream, crossing the pleasant villages of the Val Fontanabuona, up to the mouth of the Entella in the center of the Gulf of Tigullio, between the renowned towns of Chiavari and Lavagna. In addition, in the nearby Calvari airfield it is possible to practice paragliding, hang gliding and other light aircraft. In the surrounding municipalities there are small but interesting museums on culture, peasant craftsmanship and local archeology, we mention a few: Archaeological Museum of Fontanabuona - at the seat of the municipality of Cicagna; Peasant Museum in Calvari; Damascus and history of the territory museum in Lorsica; "Casa Giannini" Emigrant Museum in Favale di Malvaro; Musel - Integrated museum system of Sestri Levante and Castiglione Chiavarese, two exhibition centers, designed to offer the visitor a rich and articulated narration of the history of the Tigullio territory and the Sestri Levante valleys. The house is located at the end of a small mountain village and surrounded by gorgeous nature. Perfect for hiking or If you have dogs (like us). Sofia and Stefano are lovely hosts and provided with us with great tips for trips and restaurants. The flat is large, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need. It was very clean well-furnished and sufficiently equipped with kitchen ware and utilities. The owner was extremely friendly helpful and hospitable. He was always easy to contact and fast to lend a hand whether to help with a problem in the house or to provide us with the needed information to get around. Wir haben dort viele Esskastanien gesammelt.Wir haben täglich Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht. Nur die Betten waren etwas hart. Auf jeden Fall sollte man auch kein allzu großes Auto besitzen, da die Zufahrt schon recht eng ist und nicht sehr viel Platz zum wenden vorhanden ist. Stefano und Sofia sind sehr nette Menschen. Zu jeder Zeit und zu jeder Thematik kann man bei ihnen nachfragen. Die Wohnung liegt hoch in den Bergen, daher hat man dort die absolute Ruhe. Der Ausblick entlohnt die Anfahrt. ##### Michaela D. Wir haben uns in diesem Haus von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist einmalig. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und die Restaurantempfehlungen der beiden waren ebenfalls top. Tout était au rendez vous, le soleil, la mer, l’époustouflante vue du gîte, les animaux sauvages et des lucioles par milliers ! L’emplacement du gîte est idéal pour découvrir la région : Portofino, Rapallo, Sestri levante et Chiavari, une jolie ville qui nous a permis de rejoindre en train les Cinque terre et Genova. Des hôtes très chaleureux, attentionnés et une maison qui ne manque de rien dans laquelle nous nous sentions un peu comme chez nous. Gastgeber aussehen könnten? Überlegen Sie nicht weiter, sie werden vermutlich so wie Sofia und Stefano aussehen! Sie suchen einen ruhigen "Zufluchtsort" in schöner Natur? Suchen Sie nicht weiter, Sie haben ihn gefunden! Etwa 12 Autominuten auf enger Strasse bis zum nächsten Ort im Tal sollten Ihnen aber nichts ausmachen. Sie suchen viele Attraktionen, Bademöglichkeiten oder zahlreiche abwechslungsreiche Wandermöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe? Dann werden sie womöglich an einem anderen Ort glücklicher werden (bis ans Meer braucht man etwas mehr als eine halbe Stunde)! Auch als ein etwas untypischer Gast (alleinreisend und nicht mehr der Jüngste) habe ich die Woche in Castellaro richtig genossen und mich immer sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir haben mit 3 Kindern und unserem Hund hier wundervolle Tage verbringen dürfen. Nicht nur dass die Unterkunft sehr gemütlich war und es an absolut nichts gefehlt hat, auch Sofia und Stefano als Gastgeber sind wunderbar. Wir erhielten überall Hilfe und Tips für unsere Freizeitgestaltung. Wir würden diese Unterkunft immer wieder blind buchen und wären uns sicher dass alles wieder so wäre wie wir uns das Wünschen würden. Wir haben u. a. Ausflüge gemacht um hier nur einige zu nennen: Chiavari, Cavi di Lavagna zum Baden, Genua mit dem Zug von Chiavari aus, zweimal Sestri Levante (da es dort so schön war), Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure und eine größere Wanderung auf den Monte Ramaceto. Am Haus kann man sich wunderbar erholen und erlebt den Kontrast zur Küste. Das Einkaufen (z. B. in Carasco) sollte man aufgrund der Lage mit den Ausflügen verbinden. Die Vermieter Stefano und Sofia sind sehr nett und man ist Herzlich Willkommen und kann sich jederzeit Tipps holen. Danke für die schöne Zeit! ##### Michael O. Stayed 14 nights in Jul 2023 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Kerstin M. 16 May 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy #### sehr herzliche gastgeber wir hatten den eindruck zu freunden zu kommen und die herzlichkeit hat nie nachgelassen . die lage ist atemberaubend mit dem blick auf die berge . die anfahrt ist am ersten tag etwas schwierig , aber sofia hat uns fotos geschickt wie man fahren soll . leider kamen wir über die berge (würde ich nicht wieder machen ),nächstes mal würde ich vorher sofias anweisungen lesen . wir waren in genua ( wunderschön ) , rapollo und lavagna und jeder ausflug hat sich gelohnt . die wohnung hat wirklich alles was man braucht :einen schönen aussenplatz , gut augestattete küche , schöne schlafzimmer und immer heißes wasser . wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt ##### Kerstin M. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Auch die Terrasse mit Blick in die Berge ist wunderschön zum Erholen, Lesen und um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Direkt an der Wohnung starten einige Wanderwege, aber auch die tollen Küstenwanderwege sind gut zu erreichen. Von Chiavari oder Rapallo lassen sich auch die schönen Küstenstädtchen, Genua und die Cinque Terre problemlos mit dem Zug erreichen. Quel bel endroit ! Le calme, la beauté des lieux, l’accueil des propriétaires nous a comblé ! C’est exactement le genre d’endroit que nous recherchons : une maison avec une âme, une histoire ; des hôtes super sympathiques qui vous accueillent les bras ouverts avec un large sourire. Votre maison comble tous nos besoins et vous nous avez généreusement offert les tomates, les aubergines, les poivrons de votre jardin que nous avons joyeusement dégustés et transformés en délicieuse ratatouille. On a largement profité de l’espace intérieur et extérieur avec la magnifique terrasse et sa vue immense. Nous avons marché dans la montagne et nous avons croisé les ânes qui s’y promenaient librement. Que du bonheur ! Ce n’est pas simplement un appartement de location de vacances. C’est une maison de famille, avec une âme dans une magnifique campagne. Accueil parfait et gentillesse inoubliable. Malheureusement malade quelques jours, nos hôtes ont eu la gentillesse de faire nos courses, et de prendre de mes nouvelles chaque jour. La région est magnifique.
