"The room was clean and fairly large, but it was described as a boutique hotel and it was far from that. It was an old rodeway motel and that is really what it was. I would not stay again."

"Host was very responsive. Home was fully stocked. Property is a bit worn and could use some fresh paint and touch ups. Bedroom and loft are in the same area so no privacy there. Just didn’t notice that in the listing pictures. Lots of stairs to navigate (over 50 of them) so if carrying large luggage or have physical limitations that may be something to consider. No a/c so if it’s warmer weather that may be an issue. We don’t sleep with doors open and were uncomfortable for only one night of our stay. Deck up stairs was wonderful! Beautiful view. Overall it was a good stay. At time of visit access to the beach was closed for construction so we had to walk about 15 minutes to another access point. "

"Amazing place! Lots of room to hang out inside or outside. There were more stairs than I was expecting to get to the place. Was very thankful to have the garage to keep non-essential things in. Very clean too!"

"We loved the house and the views!! Unfortunately the description of the house said that there was beach access steps from the house but this access was closed for long term construction. Wish we had known this going in as the walk to the beach from the house was quite long. Otherwise the home met our needs and was enjoyable!!"

"Pros- clean, nice view and enjoyed the very cute town ofSan Clemente Cons- Maintenance needed on many aspects of the rental including the spring-filled king mattress which needed to be replaced. Seems to be run by a company, no one replied after we emailed them. Ad says it is 10 houses from the beach, but note that it is three long blocks, including one big hill. On that walk, I’ve counted 21 houses so unless there’s some shortcut that no one told us about, it is not as close as described. "
